Yes I have, occasionally. There's just nothing like burying your face in someone else's.
I kiss all too often. I've had steady girlfriends since 9th grade....need to stop that, I'm starting to feel like Rivers.
Most recent Kiss was OMC as we said good-bye at the Airport yesterday. Other kisses before that, there have been plenty. ^_^ with certain friends kisses are a greeting or a good-bye for me. friends get kisses for no reason other than to let them know i care. deep passionate "i want to go to bed with you" kisses are few a far between. though there were plenty over the weekend! (thank you OMC!!!!)

I'm married, so the obvious answer is no, of course not.

HA HA!

KIDDING!

Yes, I've kissed a few ladies. I didn't have my first French kiss until I was 18, though. And it was with a 16-year-old. Yikes.

That's pretty embarassing.

yes

"There goes the Pepsi...watchi it is it sprays forth from my nostrils...see as it splatters dramatically against my monitor...sigh...CHUD is so messy sometimes, at least it's messy in the sex forum though eh?"

Given the source, I have to ask...was this real or a special effect? I mean, did you do the stunt yourself, or was there a Pepsi-squib involved?

Kisses. Very important. Very indictive (usually) of one's sensuality.
Yes, but only if ask before you do it. I had a hard time trying that once with out asking permission.

************************************************** *******************

I have an interesting story about kissing. I used to kiss my baby sitter when I was about five. Looking back on this, she was quite Hot.

She was around sixteen and was my mother’s best friend's daughter - her name was Carol. I told her that a girl had kissed me on the school bus home. Well, she actually jumped across the middle Isle and on top of me and kissed me until I could push her off. Carol said something like, "Did it make you feel funny?"

I said, "yes."
Then she said, "Do you want to know what the right way to kiss a girl is?"

I said, "Yuk!"
She said, "No, really I'll show you!"

Because she was really cool I let her. She told me it was a French kiss, and you have to do it with your mouth open. I was yet again disgusted. She did end up kissing me with her mouth open, but she wouldn't use her tongue, and she didn't tell me that you are supposed to. It took me until I was 14 to figure out that French Kissing involved a tongue. And that was a very embarrassing moment for me. The girl stuck her tongue in my mouth and I didn't know what to do, but man did I ever have a raging boner.

"Made a move on her back"? Ugh. I'll be browsing the "similar threads" links at the bottom of this page.

Please don't bump that sandals thread.

This thread is sort of unfair to resurrect, because this was a different culture.

"Here's $5 go see a movie"

I have genuinely used this when my mother (and mother-in-law) have come to visit.

It seems to be a nice clear code for "go out for 2 hours".

Or, Dre, you could have taken your good lady to Chinatown (or the race-track).
EDIT: I had an answer all typed up, but once I discovered this was no longer the good old days I decided to replace it with some talk of duke fleed.

Man, is that guy a troll or what?!?!

Just realism. It was a community back then. As you can see there aren't 20 people jumping into the thread to slam me for the initial post, as you would get now.
I'm pretty sure that in 2002 people were already bitching about the good old days.

Yikes. That would have probably read better with the intended comma.

Honestly, I'm ambivelent because I'm not embarrassed personally, but I feel bad that what was once a smaller communities' ability to share personal information is not there any more, and now it just makes for awkward conversation. Everyone made a choice to share, but it was under the assumption that it was somewhat private. Now that this "local" establishment is no longer just for locals, it's like an inside joke going national.
This is the most depressing and yet most hilarious thread ever.

If you've never kissed someone, you need to meet my buddy Vodka. And if that doesn't get the job done, you should probably practice your masturbation skills. I hear girls LOVE raging wrist muscles.

You know, I even never considered the original post might actually be in earnest. Even the "ATTN:" formatting signaled it (through the prism of 2009, at least) as a joke/bait thread.

Looks like it's been that way for a long time.

I never mean to fuck with people's honest feelings by resurrecting it. And I seriously doubt Devin intended to create some honest discussion about people kissing or not kissing women at that time. He was making fun of some answers he saw on a different board and trying to have fun here.

The intent of the resurrection was to display just how similar or even worse the "good old days" were. It seems like the only difference is that instead of 30 people, there are hundreds now. And that club feels excluded. But no, it's always about "The good old days" when all the talk was about film and bla bla. Not buying it anymore.
I'm not bringing Devin into it. The benefit of a community is the ability to be more honest and less guarded. Whyen you open that world up to more and more people, you cannot - unless you value exhibitionism - have the same sorts of discussion. This says something about who "we" were back then, in that there's a lot of gentle teasing going on. But it's obvious that people were smarter back then, whether it was bait or not, the discussion happened regardless of what Devin wanted.

The Good Old Days on the Internet is called the BBS. Anything else is just a figment of nostalgia. Like The Last Starfighter and Krull.

I'd like to know the value of these kinds threads other than how they made you feel at the time.

Bull. This is still a pretty small world. I've met Chewers in the real world and have a pretty good sense of the personalities of many of the other regular posters. And I'm not the most extroverted or active poster.

This is more like it. If the "old timers" have made a judgment about the quality of newer posters, that's fine. But they shouldn't act like they had no role in shaping the community. The one thing that older threads prove is that most people have a learning curve and some growin' to do when they first get here. Maybe the problem stems from "the community" being more willing to allow for that back in the day.

Are chewers honestly talking about "good old days" in another thread? I missed that discussion.
The bait threads are around here before 2005 for sure.

What a Crock.
BrianM, you weren't here, and didn't have to weather a number of the things that people here have who've been here for the last seven years or more. From Scorched Planet, etc, to the fact that Devin has become one of the main voices of the site, to the fact that Chewers as a forum was only a small part of the whole, to going from a community of people to whatever size there is now.

There is a truth that you can only walk through a river once, because both you and the river have changed, and most of us aren't going to go through growing pains twice. I recognize that. At the same time, at that time, there was more film discussion, and not hype discussion, and when people went to see movies they would talk about them, and not talk at. The whole ettiquite has changed. If you've ever been a part of a boutique site, you might know how that works. This thread had shorthand.

I honestly do not give a shit about the good old days, but not recognizing the difference between then and now doesn't mean there isn't a huge categorical difference.
I feel like I started hanging around here at an interesting time, long after the place had started to change but when the Brigdens and Whiteheads were still posting (and for all I know THEY don't even qualify as oldtimers, but that's my impression). I'm sure there's a big difference around here between 2002 and present day.

Only point of my response is some people seem to feel like the idiots just came pouring out of the woodwork one day and ruined a good thing, and I think there was some level of patience and "nurturing" (for want of a better word) that used to go on and doesn't necessarily happen anymore. And some newbies who might have been turned into decent posters with a little TLC didn't take to just a shooing away, and instead continue to hang around and muck the place up.

I'm assuming CHUD gets more hits than it used to and maybe patience has been justifiably overwhelmed by a surge of unwashed masses (myself included). The price of success, I guess. Ironically it seems like after Millette stopped coming around and ripping newbies a new one. Maybe he kept the riff-raff out while the rest got to play good cop.
