Why do women like older men? - Page 5

I see, Spike. Still fancy giving it a real go at some point, not least because of proximity to the person behind my word of mouth.

Incidentally, I just caught up with this thread. Page 3 had me laughing out loud. Kudos, Ed (how bad are we talking about Fresno, by the way), Phil, Humanoid, Cleo, and Sherm.

I am interested in which other regular chewer livers in West Yorkshire though, I know Mr. Foster lives near abouts but he doesn't fit the age bracket

Reading this thread in its entirety gives me a pain not unlike brain freeze... and the constant tangents about Leeds, midget sex, bisexuals, and film remakes are making my eyes cross.

God, I love it.

And yes... I see Frank as Will Graham as well.

But I also see Phil as Francis Dolarhyde slashing his face with broken mirror bits, while Iron Butterfly plays in the background.

Let's hope their showdown is not as badly edited.

An older man takes the guesswork out of it: the woman knows just where he is in the pecking order. With a younger man, she's still guessing.

For millions of years, men have wanted women with maximum fertility. A younger woman means more child-bearing years and, generally speaking, better health.

We like to think that we're evolved, but we're closer to Homo Ergaster than Vorlon. Countless millenia of conditioning don't just go away because we have iPhones now.
Back on topic, I believe this is the right answer. Attraction is a subconscious thing and these are the forces that drive it.

I can't believe I came into this thinking it was Marshall.

Well, Frank said exactly what I was going to say.

Actually, he said the second thing I was going to say, which was my serious answer. My first answer was "Who cares? As long as they do."

Cause I'm old.

Anyone who thinks John Carpenter's The Thing is overrated is suspect.

As a chick-least last time I checked. Yeah. Dating your age group is really frustrating because they seem never to have their shit together. I want to say sometimes it is about daddy issues...Hrm. Not so much issues as associations.

I remember the scent of my dad's aftershave (Pretty sure it was Old Spice) quite clearly from back when I was a youngun, and associate that scent with masculinity and sanity. (kid of divorce, ended up living with the nutty mother).

Though a friend once told me that until 25 or 27, men were just useless. Seems to work out.
