Concerning the Greenville SC 'Signs' and dinner this weekend. My dire request/plea

We had said we would do Signs and dinner this Saturday. However, in a classic case on boneheadedness, I forgot I have family coming into town from Massachusetts this Saturday AM. I thought it was next weekend, but it is this coming weekend. This darstically reduces my chances for coming Saturday, even though i am the one who got the ball rolling on this whole thing. For this I deeply apologize

Sooooo...

I was wondering if we could possibly switch to Friday night instead of Saturday. Same time and theater and restaurant (meet 30 minutes before movie, go to 7:15 show at Hollywood 20, go to TGI Fridays afterwards), just on FRIDAY instead of Saturday.

If this is totally inconvenient, I unsderstand. If the majority opinion is that Friday is not possible, then ya'll please by all means continue with the original plan of Saturday. But if it is ok to switch days to Friday, please respond here, as I would love to attend (especially since I proposed this littl soiree to begin with )

Thanks man. Yeah, I realize maybe some others were bringing friends along. So maybe now's a good time to ask:

Who, besides Brian (b-love) and I, is coming?

And, seperately if you had planned on coming, is switching to FRIDAY night okay, or no?

Kind of a roll call, if you will. Because we need to start hammering out some of the finer details ie, where exactly to meet, what we look like-will be wearing/driving, etc.

Ok, Friday is going to absolutely be crowded. Everybody and their uncle is going to want to see this thing Friday.

I suggest a Sunday viewing in the afternoon if we have to change plans.

Sunday is even worse for me.

BTW, box office numders are always higher on Saturday, unless a film is bad and getting bad word of mouth.

Brian , and everyone else...I really want to come on Friday night and think I may get to. Right now, it looks like I may. Thanks for inviting me again Brian, on the thread I posted about women posters on the board.

I am like Brian, and will just be bringing myself. Friday is fine with me. I will keep checking to see what you all decide on. Friday, Saturday, or Sunday is fine with me.

How will I know everyone? Is someone going to be holding a CHUD Sign or a torch of some kind. Grin.

Everyone will know me...I am purple. eek! I think "Signs" is going to be good from the small preview I have seen.

I'm good with Friday.

Same plans as Saturday:

SIGNS 7:15 viewing at Hollywood 20 and then a meal at TGI Fridays.

P.S. Please be there about 30 minutes early so that we can get tickets, or get tickets earlier that day.

Also, I would like to meet out front. I will be wearing a CHUD green T-shirt so I can easily be spotted. So I souldn't be hard to see. Also, you guys have my cell number in case your late or can't locate me.

Purple_Hazed: Look forward to meeting you too. Sounds like this thing may be bigger than the Atlanta Get Togethers wink .

Thanks for switching to Friday guys.

What if we met right there inside the Greenville mall in front of the main entrance to Oshman's Sports, at 6:45 sharp.

That way we would be seperated from all the hustle bustle right in front of the theater.

I will be wearing a tropical shirt and khaki cargo shorts. I am about 5'7" and 165 pounds and I wear glasses. My fiance will probably be w/me.

purple_hazed has politely bowed out due to lack of transportation.

Infinite End may not make it either, he will call me and let me know either way.

So, as of now for sure, Its just the three of us.

But, I'm sure we can manage to rule the movie theather and tear up TGI Fridays afterwards. After all, were sewer chewers and must represent!

In all the fracas of trying to get this together and and finding out who is-or as it turns out, isn't- coming, I for got to ask:

What do you think of Signs? I personally am REALLY looking forward to it. The praise it's gotten from Nick, Harry, JoBlo, Ebert, and Travers has me encouraged.
