How was the IMAX screening? I read a few details in the Atlanta thread, I'd like to see it broken down "Upstate style" in our humble forum here. Is it really as different as some are saying. I'd like to catch it on Imax sometime down the road.

A grand and epic look at few outsiders surviving the self-destruction of a corrupt and unstable culture. This film is worth studying.

This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...

It's good... definitely worth checking out if the film doesn't punish your soul.
I was actually surprised how "naturally" it played on the IMAX format, though it still doesn't look quite as good as the DLP version, or even the DVD. But it looks many times better than the standard theatrical version. And the soundmix was outstanding. Certainly the most immersive soundfield I've ever experienced in a theater. I was hearing stuff from the mix that I haven't even heard in the 6.1 DVD track.
The cuts and edits made to the film definitely make it flow much quicker and some of the slower scenes in the flick (Anakin & Padme) are now MUCH quicker... or have been exised entirely. And almost all of the goofy kiddie humor is gone as well. Still, I did not agree with a few of the edits... and the modified aspect ratio also bugged me at times.
But the sheer size of the IMAX presentation was indeed impressive. During the early Coruscant scenes, in particular. At times it felt like you were there... almost like one of those virtual motion rides.
However, I must admit that I personally got accustomed to and adapted to the size of the screen about halfway through. By then, the "wow!" had worn off a lot and I was just watching AOTC again. But that might be just me. Many folks seemed to be flabbergasted all the way through.

So was it safe to say that Portman's titties were the size of a house?

Oh, and for anyone that's interested, I've added some notes to my review of Episode II to give some details on my experience with the IMAX Experience. Read it here: http://cinefiles.net/reviews/starwars2A.html

There was an annoying speck on the projection system which kept showing up...then flying off...then showing up...then flying off.
The speck appeared the size of a dinner plate.
Otherwise it was really cool. Yoda rocks on IMAX™.
