Boston (or surrounding area) folks... an idea

Hey everyone,
I post sporadically but read often and when I saw there was a forum for East Coasters, I had an idea. Is anyone interested in using this topic (or creating another) where we can alert our fellow Bay Staters about upcoming screenings and appearances? We could even trade passes or give away extras. This is, of course, temporary until Nick sets up Boston Chud screenings... wink
Anyway, it was just a thought. Let me know what you think.

hoping we get to do some Beantown screenings meself. Mr. Butane and i can lead the festivities

Yeah, fine! you & Mr. Butane can lead the festivites, sure you can!

I see how it is. Well fine! Be that way, I never wanted to be in your club anyhow, who wants a penis anyway huh?

I am all over that. I usually fill in Girlcreeture about what is coming for midnight showings at Cooledge and the Brattle. We def should all be keeping up on these things and get some get togethers happening...

But as far as private screenings, we should push for those here as Boston IS a huge college town and college kids LOVE horror...

Thas right BEATCH!

Good idea, I'll make sure that everyone here knows as soon as I do when there's going to be a special screening of something, if I happen upon before anyone else.

As far as screenings go ala CHUD, well, we're probably better off hoping for a port of the 'Frightners' laserdisc onto DVD...

I hope to be living in Boston a year and a half from now, so those screenings better come. My dream for screenings in Birmingham will remain unimagined, however.

Cool. Alright team, lets keep the eyes (the ones in your head AND the ones Girlcreeture keeps in her pockets) open for a Frailty screening this coming week (April 8-12). Unless it happened last week, there'll probably be adds for a ticket drop in the Metro or any of the university papers--- if there's going to be one at all.

You know, since you brought it up, if any of you chewers are interested in coming over for a movie-fest some night, let me or Michelle know. We've got the snazzy new surrond sound system, plus a region free DVD player, so we can pretty much watch whatever we want from where ever we want.

If ya wanna arrange something, just e-mail me and we'll work it out.

Well c'mon, we don't bite...well, not on the first date that is...
Well my 16mm projector is region free too! so there!

including discs from a certain CHUD editor's collection that Butane refuses to give back.

Well Dave! Meet the ransom and enjoy the return of your precious discs! Da da dum!

By the way, we just got Ring 0 and it's fucking phenominal!!! Must set up another rendevouz if you haven't checked it out yet.

Wow, so no one's interested, eh? Fine, I guess we'll just keep it to stealing...er,having Dave and his DVDs over. He's sexier than ANY of you anyway...

I'm not going to cry...I'm not going to cry.

I am always interested, but I don't always have the time. Plus my girlfriend already thinks I'm fucked in the head because I'm 27 and still play D&D.

I'd love to come Johnny, but alas, wrong country. I really must learn to fly one of these days...
