Entitlement Card - euphemism for ID Card.

These are the ID cards that would allow you to claim benefits, yeah?

Yet another example of the government pandering to the paranoia of the Daily Mail little englanders, who quiver in fear at the tidal wave of money-gobbling bogus refugees crawling through the Channel Tunnel and lazy single mothers living large on their taxes.

The fact is, claiming benefit already requires a ton of paperwork and proof of ID, and what you get is a pittance. Yes, much of it can be faked, but so will these "Entitlement Cards".

More money is pissed away on tax breaks for big businesses and overseas investors than on "bogus benefit claims". But we'd rather turn a blind eye to the skullduggery of big business than give one penny to needy foreigners.

Sometimes I despair for this country.
