Need odd UK advice...

Okay, so a friend of mine who is a resident alien here in the US got tickets to the Roger Waters show in London on June 26 (I think...).

Problem is, he's Serbian, but no longer a citizen of Serbia. Or any former Yugo country, for that matter. However, he ALSO isn't a citizen of the US.

So, the problem is: With his resident alien papers he can LEAVE the U.S., and, should the UK not accept him, he can RETURN to the U.S. BUT...how can he get the UK to let him IN for his week's vacation WITHOUT proving himself to be a citizen of ANY country?

Is Roger Waters coming to The States? Or is he only playing overseas?

Does he have a U.S. Passport? -which would surprise me.

He does NOT have a US passport, which would of course make matters simple. He just has his US resident alien papers.

Basically, he's dealing with Douglas Adams' Citizen of the Universe syndrome right now: His own country destructed, and while we let him live here he has no proof that he's FROM anywhere. This is screwing him, especially after 9/11.

And no, I don't think Roger is coming here. How bad does THAT suck?! Here he has a ticket in hand, and the show is getting closer and closer, and low and behold, the more he finds out about the travel process, the farther and farther away he gets from being able to go.

Anyone else? Any brits? Please?
