Sandstorms be damned:

SOUTH-CENTRAL IRAQ (CNN) -- Under fire and in the blinding yellow glow of a desert sandstorm, the leading edge of the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division rolled across the Euphrates River on Tuesday -- establishing a line of coalition forces from the southern Iraqi city of Basra north toward Baghdad

What's the discussion about this supposed to be? Why don't you just make a thread about troop advances so you can let us know all about what you're reading.

Do you really want to start criticizing anyone for starting threads about every little thing?

Probably not.

I thought sandstorms were supposed to stall us for a couple of days. Appears to not be the case. It could have been a bit of a fakeout on our part. Put out press saying we might have to wait until the storms pass and then hit them.Pretty clever actually.

Am I the only once completely fascinated by military dolphins? That picture is just disconcerting, the dolphin leaping out of the water in front of somebody in full military gear. I suppose I have Douglas Adams to thank for that, I always assumed dolphins were just too smart to get involved in something like this.

Is this some weird anti-semitic remark?

not really, when you think that the existence of sandstorms is 100% good 'ol american propaganda. there are no sandstorms (everthing is photoshop and infereno-based efects). the reality is that the iraqis are kickin' our butts, and we're retreating.
