What will American forces do when they reach Baghdad?

It seems to me this war isn´t going as well as expected for America and Britain. Sure they control the desert and oil fields but urban warfare isn´t going well. 4 Americans were killed in Nasiriya and 50 injured and some captured. They don´t control Basra. I mean the Iraqis are just waiting in the cities. This could turn very ugly. There are speculations 800 Iraqi soldiers are dead. What do you think American forces will do? Go into Baghdad?

I have a bad feeling they will be walking into a meatgrinder.

The "popular wisdom" is that we have not targetted Baghdad's infrastructure because we're the good guys, but the truth is that we want the power and water running for when we occupy the city. This is going to change, though - this round of resistance will ensure that we try to destroy the infrastructure to try to soften the resistance.

I don't think they are going to march into bagdad right away. they will proably wait outside the city 10 or so miles to make sure they aren't walking into a trap. Hopefully when whoever in charge in Iraq sees this they will see they have 2 choices, give up or have their Alamo. Time will tell.
