Why does the world oppose this war?

Even members of the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" find that there is not much support for the war among their populace (Britain is the best example. I don't have numbers post-ADay available, but I know that prior to the war Italy was almost 90% opposed). Protests are happening, with huge numbers, in almost every major city on Earth.

My point of view is that the people of the world see the US as a giant bully, ignoring the wishes of the international community and doing what it likes. On top of that, they see the US as a true threat to world peace and stability - much more so than any tiny nation or terrorist group.

I suspect many of you don't agree with that thinking.

This war is stupid. Yes, Saddam is bad, but so is how the US deals with this stuff. This war comes with no "legal" right. It goes against the UN charter, which obviously doesnt matter, since Bush essentially told the UN he didnt give a fuck what they thought by going ahead with this. It is a totally unprovoked war. No threat was made at all by Iraq or anyone in his government. I do also agree that the US is more of a threat to world peace then Iraq is. Bush is totally fucking the Middle East up with this, along with how the rest of the world views the US.
