McKinney says that Bush and others knew about 9/11 attacks before they occurred

Oh my dear lord...I'm embarassed by the fact that she's a rep from Georgia. This woman is insane. I don't care if she's Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or Pedestrian. She is nuts. And she's been elected 5 times. Creative Loafing here had a good article on the bile that she spews to stir things up, then disappears when people begin to question the validity of her statements or present facts that dispute what she says.

The article: <a href="http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/news/0402/12mckinney.html" target="_blank">http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/news/0402/12mckinney.html</a>

A quote:

Quote:
Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) is calling for an investigation into whether President Bush and other government officials had advance notice of terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 but did nothing to prevent them. She added that "persons close to this administration are poised to make huge profits off America's new war."

In a recent interview with a Berkeley, Calif., radio station, McKinney said: "We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11th. ... What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11th? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? ... What do they have to hide?"

McKinney declined to be interviewed Thursday, but she issued a statement saying: "I am not aware of any evidence showing that President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11. A complete investigation might reveal that to be the case."

In a similar vein:

<a href="http://www.msnbc.com/comics/editorial_content.asp?sFile=tr020412" target="_blank">http://www.msnbc.com/comics/editorial_content.asp?sFile=tr020412</a>

I think McKinney is a loon as well, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep a close eye on Dubya...

I could have lived a very happy life without a question THIS ludicrous being asked.

Problem is I hear nitwits like this every day calling into radio shows...all day long. And an even bigger problem is this is an elected individual...she represents tens of thousands.

She's a symptom.

She's more of a disease actually. I think we can find a nice little room somewhere for her and Barbara Lee. Quarantine you might say.

I never get sick of conspiracy theories.

Not sure about this...but wasn't there Pentagon security video released of the plane hitting the Pentagon wall? Like I said, I'm not sure about that. Seems like it would have made magazine covers or something.

It was a security camera at a gate I believe. I think I saw it on CNN.com or MSN.com. It was in 5-second intervals (or time to that effect). So it was nothing, nothing, nothing, plane, BOOM!

Frightening stuff.

First, websites that go side-to-side are irritating at best.

Second, fires such as those that are caused by fuel usually burn the aluminum alloys that make up the majority of an aircrafts structure. And those other materials such as Carbon Fibre and synthetics among the furnishings also burn up almost completely.

Conspiracy theories are so...tiresome.

This is such garbage. George W. Bush, whether you hate his energy policies or whatever you want, is not a bad guy. He may have a different opinion, but he's not a bad guy.

This is one of the lowest blows I've ever heard. I don't think there's any half-decent American who would allow that to happen, least of a President (and yes, I am that idealistic). This is a sad insult. Republicans wouldn't even accuse Bill Clinton of something like THIS.

Not to be an asshole, but spreading specious rumours about people is not what discussion is for. Bad form, if I may point such things out.

You make a good point but this did happen, it was covered in the local papers (I live in Atlanta). Next time I will try to provide better evidence..but to be honest I dont think this woman really deserves it....
