Now Ann Coulter wants liberals to be in fear of their lives

Conference of US right-wingers hears call to execute John Walker

Let liberals know “they can be killed too”, says TV commentator

By Patrick Martin
27 February 2002

The largest US gathering of right-wing political activists cheered the remarks of Ann Coulter, a columnist and television commentator, who called for the execution of John Walker Lindh as a political measure to intimidate liberals.

“When contemplating college liberals, you really regret once again that John Walker is not getting the death penalty,” Coulter said in an address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too. Otherwise they will turn out to be outright traitors.”

Coulter was unapologetic afterwards, claiming that her statement was a “huge hit with the audience.” About 3,500 people attended the four-day CPAC conference, the annual gathering of far-right elements in the Republican Party, which was held January 30-February 2 in Arlington, Virginia. Representatives and supporters of some 70 organizations and publications participated. (It was at the 1994 CPAC conference that the Paula Jones sexual harassment case was publicly launched against the Clinton White House, at a press conference organized by a group of right-wing activists.)

Coulter’s comments, and the audience reaction, are an expression of one of the most important realities in American political life—the emergence within the political establishment of a significant fascist layer, cultivated and promoted by sections of corporate America and the media, which now plays a dominant role in the Republican Party and wields enormous influence within the Bush administration.
As well as this;

"Coulter herself wrote an anti-Clinton screed, High Crimes and Misdemeanors, which raised her profile in ultra-right circles. In her book she compared Clinton to a serial killer."

Which is the first time that I have heard receiving a blow job as being akin to being a serial killer.

And;

"In the wake of the September 11 terror attacks, Coulter declared in her column in National Review Online, referring to Muslims, “We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.” This evoked considerable press commentary and protest, and National Review refused to run a follow-up column in which she advocated taking special police measures against “swarthy males.”"

Residing in England I do not receive TV stations/media with this woman on it. Therefore can I ask the people on the boards;

Do people take any notice of this woman and do her views reflect a sizable body of American opinion?

Does this reflect the truth?

Its weird but this is merely posting to the choir. I know of nobody here at CHUD that respects Coulter. Shes a complete extremist through and through. I'm scared of anyone who takes her seriously.

Hell, I don't even like her, and I'm somewhere just to the political right of Genghis Khan.

Good Grief !! Then she is a right wing as this makes out.

From seeing your many posts on the board you are a pretty good political barometer.

She is the less humorous, more violence-advocating counterpart to Michael Moore.

Both extremists, but only one has gone this far.

That's about as perfect a description of Coulter as I have heard.

Interesting way to put it. I am a right wing, republican, conservative. No doubt.

She scares me.

Matt Carroll (CallWhatever) once liked to quote her like the bible. Just so you know. I don't let garbage like that near me in real life.

She just keeps digging her grave.

She used to be sane. But then there comes a point where you make a mistake and rather than admit it you deny it saying you are still right even when you clearly did the wrong thing. And then you just start spirally down getting yourself dirtier and dirtier.

She's just as bad as Moore in his delusional state. Except she seems to like violence a lot more.

So in short, I don't like her what so ever even though before she went totally AWOL I did believe her to have a point or two. BUt now all that has been lost in insanity.

Yeah she was messed up before she was fired after that coverting muslims bit. After that she went off the deepend totally.

Reading this thread, I get the impression lefties should learn to embrace and encourage the clearly wacked, way-out-there ultra-rightists.

Because it's the ones who try to appear sane, honest and deeply moral that are by far the most dangerous.

I agree. She's terrible.

She's just making money by saying controversial things. That's a grand tradition in our country.

So where does the lax research come in?

Coulter is quite enjoyable with the sound off.

Michael Moore should take a page out of her book and show some leg, bring out da sexay.

To what? Why can't we all just get along?
Using the term "try to appear" with the description of an average conservative is just as inflammatory as using it in front of the description of an average liberal. Just because we don't agree on policy does not mean that either one of us is dangerous or a menace to society. We have different viewpoints and express them, and there's nothing innately dangerous about that.

You like flesh-draped skeletons with bat faces and anime eyes? Interesting taste you have there...

I always thought she looked like she's been beaten with the smurfy stick.

That might sound like a compliment, but it's not. She looks like she shares a few chromosomes with a plush toy.

ain't nothing wrong with that face a ballgag wouldn't fix.

(shit, did I post that or just think it?)
