THE FLAME AND THE SKIES, brand new from Darker

My second record is pretty much done. I'm making a few tweaks as far as mixing and such, and there will be an additional song besides the 9 I've posted in this forum to round it out to an even 10.

But once I get the artwork together and get it set up for sale on the Web, it should be available for purchase ($9 plus shipping and handling) by the beginning of November barring no unforseen production problems.

So here's the brand spanking new album opener and all-around get-up-off-your-ass track, The Flame and The Skies.

That means get up off your ass, listen, then comment.

You know...in case that didn't occur to you.

Hee-hee. Could you BE any more subtle?

Just get it out there. You know I'll be buying. Looking forward to hearing it, raw, as before.

A good little rocker. Like I said before I love the vocals in this. Just a fun track overall.

Definitly my kind of song. I'm Listening to a number of the songs and I am enjoying every one of them so far.

How much would you charge to ship to Canada? (or would I order it from ampcast?)

Keep pumping out those great tracks!

Thanks so much! I'm pretty sure Ampcast will ship to Canada with no problem. They ship overseas as well, if I am not mistaken.

Goodness Mikah!

I finally got registered and had a listen to this tune and to say the least I am not only impressed but surprised (in a pleasant way).

I've never listened to your music before and was expecting slow and mellow. Don't ask me why but I never expected what I just heard

This is some good stuff Mikah. I have your page bookmarked and this week-end plan on listening to more of your tunes

This song is catchy as heck and my favorite of yours since "Beautiful Pictures". You really sound like Lou Reed on this. Be it on purpose?

No...not particularly. My voice is weird. I sound like a number of people on a number of different songs. I wish I had a distinctive vocal register that was consistent across the spectrum like Chris Cornell or Wayne Coyne or whoever, but I don't.

Sometimes, I have a nasally Lennon thing happening ("The Royale"), sometimes I sound like Dave Wyndorf from Monster Magnet (this song and "Lessons of Darkness"), sometimes like Lou Reed ("Beautiful Pictures"), and sometimes like no one I can put my finger on ("Forward Motion").
