I applaud this forum, and this thread. You guys are doin' a hell of a job. You've carried on this whole debate and only once did it devolve into bickering/name calling.

If you think this is fun, you guys should engage Cosmic Ray on a talk regarding evolution that spans a few weeks (the talk, not evolution). I believe that was probably 2 years ago and I still haven't regained the energy to actually discuss matters of any weight with him. You know you're in for the long haul when he's providing you links to intelligent viewpoints backing up your points while he's simultaneously arguing against your points. The worst part is that he does it all without being the slightest bit offensive, and he's truly interested in where all the tangents lead to. There's no hope of the discussion blowing up into a name-calling match unless you're the guy looking like a jerk, and there's no hope of the discussion ever ending unless he makes your head explode and you just have to walk away.
I kid because I love. And because my head is taped together.
