Put on an album. It should be something you're very familiar with, and kind of old, like before people went nuts with the digital editing stuff. I'll use Houses of the Holy as an example. Listen to it. Pay very close attention to the music. When the song ends, listen to the silence. Don't listen to No Quarter echoing in your head, don't anticipate the into to The Ocean. Just be concious of those 3 seconds of silence.
