Full Throttle 2 hyping

I used to be generally skeptical about this game. I mean, no Tim Schafer? Also, the word action mixed with adventure sent off the wrong vibe, I'd rather go the straight up adventure route. Ah well.

Anyway, I just looked at some of the pictures on Gamespot (they're probably on every other gaming site, check 'em out if you haven't seen them), and they are very encouraging. I'm definitely happy to see that they've got the look down. Really, the game looks old and new at the same time.

Anyway, my expectations for this game have risen a notch. How 'bout yourselves?

I was excited about it until you told me Tim Schafer was off it. The screenshots do look good though.

Is Mark Hamill back?

Technically, Tim was never on FT2. He's been busy with his own company, Double Fine, who are currently working on Psychonauts for the XBOX (but you probably already knew that...).

Anyway, they haven't said anything about whether Hammil's on it or not. Seeing as how Adrian Ripburger died in the first one, I wouldn't bet on it. The game does look purty, though.

Wow. I didn't expect that. People who did previews of the early code of the game really seemed to like it. What could've been bad enough to warrant that?

I could've sworn I saw an ad for it on TV earlier this week, although it might've been on a videogame show.

Damn. I was really looking forward to that, along with the other point-and-click adventure sequels due out. Hopefully Sam and Max won't hit a similar hurdle. And there's still Broken Sword and Syberia.

This stinks, man. Maybe now, Sam and Max 2 will get canned too, and we finally can enjoy Maniac Mansion 2.

You already can. It's called Day Of The Tentacle.

I'd rather have a sequel to both, though. I need a sequel to Zak McKracken, too.
