Star Wars Galaxies - Page 5

Creature Mounts, Player Cities and the Politician skill tree are active as of yesterday morning. I've been back in the game some this weekend, and I think I'll try to put a bit more time into it over the next couple of weeks. Creature mounts seem cool... I've seen two guys on spats (birdlike things), and hopefully I can get one before too long.

As for the cities, the two I've learned about in my Galaxy (Chilastra) so far are on Tatooine. I'm hoping to find one on Corellia soon, since I'd like to retain that as my base of operations.

Anyone else got a character in Chilastra?

I'm still around, Cootar. I've got a Kaadu mount waiting for you when you log back in.

As far as me, I've been playing still, but I basically log in, check my harvs, put 25 auctions on the Bazaar, then log off. Nothing exciting going on anymore. The mounts are neat, but they won't really do much for anyone.

It's become a pretty boring and monotonous game anymore. With other games hitting the market, it's hard to spend any time on it lately.

Anybody know of any SWG blogs or journals?

We have no clue when the space expansion is coming out.

Apparently, the first person to unlock the force sensitive slot was a l33t pl4y3r who didn't do anything but grind and then build a house. This does not bode confidence.

I've all but given up my character, because I'm bored. Roleplay is so spread out it's laughable. Their solution to every problem is to nerf something, and while I don't mind a justifiable nerf, the concept of that being the main way to fix (every nerf leads to another nerf because the last nerf spun something out of control) just doesn't lead anywhere profitable to me.

And then, the recent announcement that there's a limited number of cities allowed with new player cities (which makes sense), and the cities will be first come first serve (aka, whoever logs in first after the servers finally came up after the city patch kept them down long past scheduled downtime) just kinda banged the nail in the coffin for me. This isn't me being bitter over spilled milk...I didn't want a city. But I watched many people organize cities for months, only to find out that they lost their chance because they work for a living and some kid skipped school and securied a city for his 5 friends, with no intention of growing it...well, this shows me that either the people in charge stopped caring, or are just not as competent as I felt they were. I now feel like an apologist for telling people to stop giving them flak, early on.
