I just went the used Blockbuster route and bought NGC Madden 2003, FIFA 2002 & NCAA CF 2003 all for $60.00. I've determined that I will never pay full price for a game again unless it absolutely makes me cream my jeans.

Resident Evil: Zero (Gamecube)

Clock Tower 3 (PS2, import)

The Getaway (PS2, Uk import) pretty soon, as well...

Its an expirence all on its own. It really draws you into the role of a VT Pilot. From my expirience, i got the 5.1 going, shitty TV right above me and the setup to match what it would really be like in a VT. So when you turn it on and the lights start turning on u really get into it. As for replay, you make your own. You wont be wanting to restart because you died or anything (lemme tell ya, anyone with half a brain knows that when the cockpit starts to have flames everywhere you better eject and its not hard.) you replay missions simply because they're fun and well hell you really get better the more you play.

Im currently moving tho, so i had to pack it up for the time being. Everything about it gets you really drawn in, even the box which contains the game and controller, comes in a military type casing, then the actual manual is VERY detailed, so u get into that frame of mind. The controller itself even has its tools built into it. Fun stuff, and well worth my money, but i guess not for everyone, but mostly not for people that cant afford it, trust me if it cost 50$ everyone would praise it more than Halo.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'll have fun. I'm so fucking scared of generating Crimson Heads that I try not to shoot a single zombie and end up being munched to death in no time. Frustrating to say the least. Looks gorgeous though. And very very scary.
The crimson heads aren't very bad, unless they are in a really tight space you can still avoid them, and this is coming from someone whose first RE game was the GC one. Plus they take a long time to spawn.
They're scary bastards, aren't they? Love the way they reanimate in that classic Evil Dead style.

Using the oil/lighter to burn zombie corpses is the surest way of avoiding Crimsons later on in the game. But if you *must* face them, then make sure you're packing some of Chris' flash grenades (keep them equipped as your main defensive weapon). Crimson Heads go BOOM now.

And if those critters frighten you, just wait until you get further into the game... eek!
The RE games always scare the shit out of me, but I love playing them.

I just got RE:0 today and haven't played it yet. I know i'm probably gonna put it off because I know what i'll be getting into... wink
post #28 of 33
Really quick: I was looking into getting these games as I never played them before and was wondering which ones for Gamecube I should get?
Today received Deathrow for XBox from Playcentric.com ($43). Going to bring up that Deathrow topic in a little while methinks.

CTDeLude - Think of getting both Resident Evils, Super Smash Bros., Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, Animal Crossing (haven't played that one myself, but heard it will suck your life away). Those are the cream of the gamecube crop (besides the two great titles you already have...you got a great deal!)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - XBOX (Best Buy; $29.99)

I love this freaking game.

I'm trying to cut back. The V.G.A. meetings aren't helping.
