Just got the latest press kit for Sony's upcoming PS2 games. War Of The Monsters is a giant monster fighting game from the Twisted Metal team, and although I can't vouch for the gameplay, the loading screen artwork is sweet as pie.

Those are so sweet that my teeth hurt.

Man, that was lame. But those are really great pics. I love the fold lines. Quick, does anyone know how to digitally linen-back?

The gameplay's pretty good, there's not that much complexity, but get a friend in on it and it's fun as hell to destroy the whole city. Some nice camera angles, combos and special moves keep it lively.

Oh there's a demo of it in the new OPM if anyone's wondering how I played this....comes out in january, I believe, and will definitly pick up a copy.

Isn't there a demo coming up on some magazine's cover cd?

Official Playstation Mag. Shit mag. Think of it as a 9 dollar demo. It's pretty good though, got War of the Monsters, Shinobi, Burnout 2, Socom, Rygar....few others.

I think you guys are gonna love War of the Monsters- it's got that old 50's monster movie style, from the character selection screen (it's on a drive-in movie theater) to the awesome music. It's good stuff. Only two characters (the king kong ripoff and the electric eyeball dude)and one level (Central Park, it looks like) but it's fun enough to play till you've got every last building destroyed.
