Yeah...about 26 minutes before you posted this thread...

Haven't played it, but Activision told me that they're so impressed with this game that they bought the entire development company based on early preview code.

The Huggy Bear word on the street is that it kicks ass all the way to Tuesday. And back again.

EDIT...

Sorry, my mistake - they bought the developers of Wolverine's Revenge based on early code. Luxoflux they already own, if I remember rightly. They're the Vigilante 8 people. Still looks fantastic though.

I was wondering where Russell Wong had disappeared to after Vanishing Son finished. If they can hook Gary Oldman then I'll be truly impressed. Looks like a fun game.

saw this at E3 in May and thought it looked REALLY good. it's pretty ambitious though (and a little GTA3-ish) with multiple play styles (driving, shooting, hand-to-hand combat), so it'll be a major accomplishment if it all comes together. but i'm hoping it does

Looks like this will beat out anything Enter the Matrix tries to put out.

...the real true crime thread...or something...that is until Clint & Alicia come along and mow all our asses down for copyright infringement.

Again, this game looks exciting. Gary Oldman doing voice will be cool...if only they can shoot for Alan Rickman to do some work as well. It's not LA without him.

So how much do you pay a well known actor to do some voice work anyways? Add that cost to the list of why games cost so much...

I'm still waiting for a response as to when this will ship...any ideas? EB World/Amazon don't even have this title listed to be released. Hate for it to coincide when Splinter Cell PC comes out or in March when Zelda and the new GBA come out...have to plan ahead budget wise.

Damn, I just read the article again. Looks like they've gone all out with the scale recreation of LA (just like The Getaway did with London).

I am officially buzzed about this game.
