I heard EB have already cut the price of MGS 2: Substance to 20 bucks.

Guess those copies haven't been flying off the shelves... or maybe people are willing to wait for the non X-Box versions...

Anyone who complains about the XBox controller probably doesn't own the system. It takes a day or 2 to get used to, but once you do, the XBox controller is PHENOMENAL. So much design went into it, it's amazing. I personally hate the S-controller. Just my take on the controller, but every signle person I know who owns an XBox shares my opinion.

Thank you. I've been waiting for someone else to say it.

I love the fact that X-Box had a flash cartoon (which was done so poorly it was funny) lambasting (BIG WORD!!) the "Lamecube" for having cartoon characters and kiddie graphics, while one of their big holiday titles starred a cartoon cat who could stop time...

My wife gave me an X-Box for Christmas. Let me just say this: I need a new ass. I've been sitting on the one I've got in front of the TV for far too long.

I love the controller. But then I have big-ass hands. And my wife loves the Controller S. We played through the entirety of Halo in coop one weekend. Bliss.

The way this thing sucks me in, I'm almost afraid to get the Live adapter.

By the future of Gamecube I mean after Zelda, whats left?? a very short list of announced exclusives. Maybe after E3 we'll know different, but right now I'm enjoying what I feel may be the last good year of the Gamecube.

The Xbox though has the hardware and the financial backing to rough out the harder times, and the future looks very bright for the big box.

my ps2 already feels dated.

Not to sure about that. Nintendo has as much faith in the GC as MS does in the XBOX. It is a great system, with excellent games and a perfect controller. The GC will not go the way of the Dreamcast anytime soon. I do expect Big N to rethink their next system though. They will have to embrace online gaming in order to survive.

And yes, I rarely play my PS2 anymore. Whenever I do, it feels like I am playing an N64 or PS1.

Just get the Xbox. I was in your position. I was so loyal to the Ps2 that I cursed the Xbox,then I played Halo. Sorry,it's that great. I went out and bought one. It's totally worth it now. It's only $200.Now I have 3 consoles and I love them all. But my Ps2 still reigns supreme.

Gah, right now I am even weakening with games like Kingdom Under Fire and Halo 2 ready to come out.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Alright, in a couple months will this sucker go down any? I have to justify getting a Gamecube and X-Box so close together here!

I think MS has just about reached the bottom of how much incentive they can offer with this thing CT. It'll be a while before any new price reduction.
