My Triumph Over Electronic Boutique...

Chalk one up for an attentive eye...

My wife's mom just got married for the third time and the day of the wedding my wife and her sisters and her mom wnet to a local mall to get their hair done. I went bumbing around the mall and went into the local EB. I don't purchase video games anymore for my PC or my PSX. I made the descision not to do this anymore a few weeks ago. But I was perusing the used PC game section, and what should I find? Alpha Centauri, listed at $0.00 for the sticker price. I thought to myself "There has been a horrible mistake, but I must see for sure." I brought it up to the counter, and sure enough the clerk asks "You want it?". I say "Hell yes!". I leave the store with MY FREE GAME. FREE. From EB!

I gave it to a friend who still plays video games as a Christmas Present (he is a big Civ fan and this game is the logical time-line sequel to Civ I). He was thrilled, and I defeated capitalism in a really small but incredibly gratifying way.

That's a great game. I never really got into it, but I know it's considered a near-classic by many. Good find.

I gave it away as a gift! Of course I didn't leave the sticker price! "Chris, this game cost me $200.00 US through eBay...no, no, no need to thank me!"

Verbal, can you make that same mistake with Steel Batalion? Put like a $19.99 price tag on it and I'll walk into the store and pick it up.

Good luck finding Steel Battalion. It's been sold out everywhere I've looked, is is selling on e-bay for upwards of $300...
