Oh hell yes.
Link is going to be a hidden character on the GameCube Version.
IGN Article
The GameCube version of Soul Calibur 2, the hotly-anticipated 3D fighting sequel, will be released in North America in August alongside console ports for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, Namco confirmed today. In addition, Namco also clarified details of the extra modes and hidden characters which will appear in the console versions. One new character will be common to all three versions, and each version will receive another new character of its own.
On GameCube, the exclusive character is, as IGNcube previously reported, Nintendo's own Link from the famous Legend of Zelda series. The first screenshots show him using the spin attack, upward and downward jabs, in addition to a number of other signature moves -- even his bow! So, it seems he may have all his own unique moves, which is very good news. The other new character is Necrid, a reptilian hulk designed by Todd McFarlane Productions (famous for Spawn, among other creations). At the Japanese press conference where the game debuted, Namco indicated that there may be other characters added, but no other details were available.
