Can you imagine the possibilties for Gulf War 2 Video games? "Conflict: Desert Storm" was great. In the article there was talk of a CDS2: Back to Baghdad but it was another compant not the one that made the origional. And if they confirm Saddam is dead, the last mission could be to kill him.

No, it really wasn't. Not the worst game of all time, but not great.

Is the enemy AI going to be absent, demoralized. under-fed and under-equipped in the game as well?

You gotta love the Desert Combat Mod for BF1942.

Now that is an awesome version of the game.

They even have named the groups the Iraqi's and then the Coalition forces.

Love the weapons and classes you can pick. People here should check it out.

www.desertcombat.com I believe.

Ghost Recon Desert expansion owns them all.

The box for "Shock and Awe" will suggest the game's duration is only about five or ten minutes, but in reality it'll be much, much longer.

On a side note, what's taking so long with "Massacre in the Congo"? Wasn't that over like a week ago?

CONFLICT DESERT STORM: SHOCK AND AWE

-Stunning 3D graphics render miles of desert in photorealistic detail!

-Intelligent AI mimics the actions of real soldiers - watch out for friendly fire!

-Fight your way through real-life missions, such as statue assassinations and Russian convoy assualts!

-Kill Chemical Ali... again!

-Playable characters include Dick Cheney and Tommy Franks!

-Revolutionary new combat system allows for "Single Button Play"; blow up reporters, homes, and the occasional government building with just one push!

In first quarter 2004, prepare to liberate Iraq! Make the world safe for SUVs once again!

And ready yourself for the mind blowing sequel: CONFLICT DESERT STORM: SYRIA STRIKES BACK

Political comments aside the game would probably more Special Ops stuff: Secure bridges, secure WMD, follow leaders so you can laser tag them for missles. It could be a fun play.

Will we be able to pull down Saddam statues? Loot government buildings?

Yea...the Special Ops guys did some incredible stuff in this war and I'd really like to find out about the missions they took.

All political comments aside, this conflict would make for a lousy game, as best as I can tell. And any game released within the next couple of years would be pure exploitation, plain and simple.

Yea Capitalism!!! A Special Ops game would be awesome. Games where you have to sneek around, silent kills are challenging. It's fun beating Nazi's in games, it's fun beating Iraq in games. Are the movies that came out during and right after WW2 exploitation? And if so was it a bad thing? Grand Theft Auto 3 is probably the most popular game now exploits sex, violence and crime. If it's a good game-bring it.

No, I'm saying that any game released that centers on the Iraq conflict would likely be rushed to stores in an attempt to cash off current events, thus being exploitation.

I don't like war games.

War isn't supposed to be fun.

Lets not forget that REAL PEOPLE have died in this conflict.

If you find enjoyment in the games, by all means I'm not trying to give you a moral lesson, just personally...I can't bring myself to sit my fat ass down in a Laz-E-Boy in front of my PS2 and pretend I'm in Baghdad, while some of my peers really are.
