Then there was Half-Life 2

Story broke today
"Half-Life 2 will be shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. "

Also there's another magazine cover shot but this also features a mysterious woman alongside Gordon. Oh and his glasses aren't misted up this time...

Update: Apparently this magazine will have an eleven page special on Half-Life 2.

Rumour: This is being bandied about by a few people (hell I immediately thought of it too) - Half-Life 2 will be released on November 10th. This would be 5 years to nearly the day that the original game was released.

Now I kinda wish I was going to E3 this year.

I now anticipate no other game like I do HL2.

Also, I just read that the press embargo ends on the 28th. At that point, they are allowed to release their HL2 articles.

I don't either. Truthfully, I'd forgotten all about a sequel and wasn't expecting one ever, let alone this year. Now Halo 2 can take a back seat, I want this. I'm hoping that if the November 2003 release date is legit, they'll stick with it - No delays. Unlikely, but they've had five years to work on it already.

Makes sense, the issue of PC Zone with Gordon Freeman on the cover hits shelves on the 28th. As far as I know the issue of Edge with the Half-Life info comes out the same time, or thereabouts.
