Since I was an early die-hard player of the Close Combat series that slowly got worse with each release, I had to search out a new avenue of WW2 strategy goodness. After reading a review of CM in a pc mag, I HAD to have it. This game is fantastic, with a control interface that closely mimics the Close Combat games. I love the movement of the tanks, the lines of fire, excellent "fog of war" scheme, and those rocking sound effects. GREAT GREAT pc game for the strategy enthusiasts. Hope this series gets the love it so rightly deserves. Ordering info/Demo can be found right here. Do yourselves a favor and check it out!

Just as a point of interest: if you think that CHUD's message boards are overflowing with geeks - check these out.

I'm telling ya - the muzzle velocity of a King Tiger tank's 88mm gun is twice that of a Sherman Heavy Jumbo. And if you dare to disagree, I shall tear you a new asshole!

Great game, great game.

Sounds like most of the Star Wars threads if you ask me.

The only difference is that some of the people who are arguing are ex-combat vets who have experience driving that particular tank!
