Holy shit. Absolutely amazing-looking, and fun to boot. The demo is at File Planet, and it's worth every minute of the dld. It has 2 levels.

I cannot WAIT for this game.

very cool for sharing verbs. downloading now.

I was worried for a bit after playing the beach level. I was in aliased/jaggy hell, until I smartened up and cranked up the resolution.

Beautiful.

Looking forward to this game now a lot more than ever, as I thought cel-shaded shooter...whatever, jet grind murder...but the presentation really impressed me. The box-out aftermaths of shooting people reminded me of Silent Scope, the seamless use of PIP for checking out security cameras. If the story lives up to all the hype written, it will hold its own to Half-Life and Deus Ex, in terms of being fresh and original.

What did you think about the violent murder of that life guard verbs? The voice acting really set the tone...the same way it was when I set my Sim on fire for the first time...for the rest of the realistic carnage afterwards.

When is this coming out? Not soon enough if it isn't available when I come back from canada in september. or something

The demo doesn't work on my computer. Everytime I launch it, it says 'Sync out of range' while a box floats. I guess I'll wait for another demo then.

Excellent demo. Gameplay seems pretty Goldeneye influenced.

The graphics and presentation are amazing. There's nothing more satisfying than the desperate "NOOOooooo!!!" text bubble of a bad guy after you cap him.

The very cool split screen techniques made me start thinking about a 24 game...

Back at E3 I declared this one of the biggest surprises there.

It's got style and gameplay.

Plus the guys making it are cool.

the graphic novels the game is based on is pretty cool as well. derivative (it's basically a Bourne Identity rip off) but great fun. Hopefully the game is succesful and somebody will translate them...

Smooth as buttah on my Geforce4 ti4600.

Great little demo, looking forward to the full game.

I really like this too. It reminded me of "Comix Zone" for the Sega Genesis, and that's always good.

Ubi Soft are on a roll. First Splinter Cell, then this and Prince of Persia will be amazing. Far Cry and Beyond Good & Evil are looking promising as well and their Matrix Online game will hopefully bury Enter the Matrix forever.

Infinite End:
Does this game chop up on anybody else's computer? I've tried it with two different computers, both of them running a gig of DDRRAM and one sporting a Raedon 9200 Pro and the other a Raedon 9700, way above any kind of recommended specs. It's completely smooth until I try to turn my view, and then everything goes to hell. I turned down the mouse sensitivity and that didn't do anything, so it may be a problem with the ATI's.
Running the latest ATI drivers? (Catalyst 3.6). Latest version of Direct X? That's all I can think of.

Loved the idea, love the graphics, love the presentation, hate the level design...

WAY too linear. Obviously linear, too, unlike Half-Life or some other well-designed shooters. More than anything, it reminded me of No One Lives Forever, where there was almost always a single path that you HAD to conform to. Still, XIII has the potential to be a great game, especially if the story lives up to its full potential.

And it was unbelievably cool the first time I threw a glass shard into some poor sap's eye.

Okay, I never play PC games, so give me a break on this...I can't figure out how to open doors. I've tried both levels & there isn't much killing before I get stuck. Which freaking button is it?

Nevermind, I figured it out.
