According to Gamespot, both Dead Phoenix for GC and Red Dead Revolver for PS2 have been cancelled. Don't care for the the poor man's Panzer Dragoon, but Red Dead Revolver not coming out FUCKING SUCKS!

Cunt rocks!

That does suck. Red Dead Revolver was one of the few PS2 games I was looking forward to.

I'd been looking forward to RDR for ages.

Love the product, hate the company. Referring to them as "Crapcom" eases the pain somewhat.

PS. I wonder what will happen to RDR's Morricone score? I've got a ton of clips and trailers for the game that have parts of the music, and it sounded BRILLIANT.

If you check the story on Gamespot, it says that a guy from Capcom recently said the development of the game was still underway with a different fundsource, so maybe there's still hope, though the game's official site has been taken down and it doesn't appear on their plannings anymore.

Well now they have more time to do a new Bionic Commando.

...one can dream?

The theory has been thrown out that Nintendo asked Capcom to make a Kid Icarus game out of Dead Pheonix. Would rock. So would Bionic Commando.

Red Dead Revolver's fate has been uncertain for ages. It's a shame it ended up on the scrap-heap, but I'd pretty much given up on it coming out anyway.

That friggin' chaps my ass. I played Red Dead Revolver at E3 back in 2002, and it was pretty damn cool, even if the control was a little wonked. I was really looking forward to it. Now we seriously need a good western game to fill the gap.

Yes, we can. Bionic Commando on the NES rocked (although I didn't play the GBC revamp) and I'm surprised Capcom didn't update this game for the SNES, or the systems we have now, but there's always that possibility.

Also, IGN reported that one game, I believe called Dead Phoenix is being scrapped, but could be quietly being revived by Nintendo as a sequel to the oldie but goodie KID ICARUS. So maybe if that game has a chance, Bionic Commando should have one as well.
