Soul Calibur II (McFarlane figures)

Just picked these up and they are sweet. They're freakin small but very detailed and are posed in such a way as to suit their in-game attack styles. Can't wait to get my hands on the game. Nightmare is a badass.

I guess this explains the Spawn character in the XBox version, eh?

i saw them. Why are they so tiny? They're like StarWars figures.

The Xbox version gets spawn, and all the versions get a new character (I assume), Necrid. He's pretty cool, but I can't speak for Spawn.

Doesn't the GAMECUBE version get LINK and the PS2 version gets some guy from TEKKEN?

Yeah, Heihachi. The old guy with the crazy hair.

Spawn is a perfect fit for this game as Necrid is as well. Most of the characters have a dark, horror-based, background.

Link to me is the odd-ball. I guess he's the darkest character Nintendo has in its repetoire, which actually is pretty frightening when you think about it.

Anyway, they approached McFarlane, not the other way around.

They are like Star Wars figures but in a way I think it's cool. Voldo is a freak of nature.

They come with backgrounds, their particular arenas, and the bases they are on have little wheels so you can spin them around. Very nicely done.

As I hate the Tekken series, it disappoints me that the PS2 got shafted with that guy. I would have rather had someone like Tommy Vercetti from GTA4 or Solid Snake or... er... Playstation doesn't have a lot of mascot characters. Still, X-Box got Spawn. I want Spawn, damnation!

I reserved the Gamecube version of SC2, but tomorrow i'll be getting (most-likely) the Xbox version. It's mainly because the controls are the tightest on the box, and Spawn as a character intrigues me. Plus, from what I hear, Spawn has a TON more moves/combos than Link does.

Then again....Link can fight with his net.

Actually most of the reviews say Link fits in better than the other two console exclusives. Still, I think I'm going with the X-box.

I got the Xbox version yesterday... love.

Played my GC copy today...Link's cool. I haven't had enough time with him to explore his depth as far as combos are concerned, though. Using his bow and arrows is fun.

Just got the Xbox version, and Spawn fucking rules. He does this thing where he hits the enemy, throws his axe up in the air, catches it, and hits the enemy again.

Cool stuff. Can't wait to get deeper...the weapons master mode is amazing.

I got the XBox version, of course, and it doesn't f'king work dammit! As soon as the game boots up the video goes away but I can still hear the audio. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me. Shit I wanna play Spawn.

Mitsurugi is my guy. I'd love to take any of you guys on with him.

I was really good with Kilik and the nunchaku guy (forgot his name, Elvis-wannabe) on the original Soul Calibur. I look forward to eventually picking this game up.

Verbal, how does this Weapons Master mode compare to the WM mode in the original SoulCalibur? I've read that it's not quite as good.

I never actually owned the first one, so I can't really tell. But regardless, it's neat. Adds a ton of depth to the whole package.

Wow, it looks great! Spawn looks perfect and his moves are very cool. Inferno looks better than ever. The fire effect look sweet. SCII is as good as I though it would be but does it seem easier this time around to anyone else?

I am also spoiled by DOA's multi-tiered arenas because SCII's seem so confining now but of course that's what they want.
