Anyone know where I can find SCUMM game files for the old Lucasarts adventures? Stuff like the original Monkey Island etc? I've just installed the GPScumm player on my GamePark and fancy playing some classic adventures on the movie.

if you use bittorrent, try www.suprnova.org. they should have the SCUMM engine thinggy and about 12 games in their games/pc section.

I got a bunch of files off of Kazaa- Indy, Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, Loom, etc. They're tiny files, maybe a few megs, but they're complete.

How's that GamePark working out for ya? i was interested in buying one, but I wasn't sure if I should should splurge.

You probably know this already but you can also download (legally) a copy of Beneath A Steel Sky from the ScummVM site, both talkie and non talkie.

Thanks, but I think I've found what I was looking for. Didn't realise Suprnova had an archive of stuff. I'm really only after Monkey Island, and maybe the Indy games.

I love it. I've never been a big fan of handhelds, just because the games cost the same as a "proper" console game and if you get tired of it, you're screwed. When I'm on the movie I want to be able to switch from game to game depending on my mood.

The GP32 lets me carry around one handheld, with a couple of SmartMedia Cards, and have a portable library of hundreds of games. It emulates the NES, GameGear and Sega Master System perfectly. GameBoy and GameBoy Color is virtually indistinguishable. Full-speed SNES emulation is the holy grail, and it's getting there. I've got a playable version of Zombies Ate My Neighbours, which is good enough for me. It also emulates a mean Atari ST (although the ROMs for this are a bit unreliable). And I've still got room to cram in some older, more obscure Japanese stuff should the mood grab me. It can run the PC version of Doom at full speed now as well, and load homebrew WAD files for customisation.

So, yeah, I'm more than happy with it. The fact that it doubles as an MP3 player and DivX movie player is a bonus.

Sam n Max, Moneky Island 1+2 (Escape From Monkey Island would probably be a very large file, difficult to find), Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle are all essentials. The Dig was fairly good, also.
