Megaman Aniversary Collection

Thread Starter
My prayers have been answered. Megaman 1-8, plus two new Japanese MM arcade games, are being bundled into a single disc for release on PS2 and Gamecube early next year.

I hope that Capcom ditches their always-annoying MM password systems and lets you save games directly to your memory cards, and I hope some actual time and money is spent perfect the emulation (unlike the Sega Blast Pack), but otherwise, I'm a happy camper right now. QuickMan will be my bitch all over again.

Hot damn, I'd buy that. Also, never speak the name of the Sega Blast Pack again. Man, what a disappointment.

That's a shitload of Megaman. The frustration involved with that much side scrolling, platform jumping, bad guy shooting action could be to much to handle.

Now maybe I'll FINALLY get to play through all of the Mega Man games. Either that or I'll FINALLY get to smash my PS2 controller in a fury of old-school frustration.

Fucking AWESOME news. Wowie.

This will be mine. I wish it had the X series (that would take up a whole other 20 megabytes...), as the first X is one of my favorite games of all time, but 2 and 3 were pure sphincter.

I can't wait to get punished by those boss patterns once again.

Crap this is awesome news. Thanks, Slater.

Bubble Man was always my bitch.

Ah, Mega Man. All the other robots were jealous because he was "mega" while they were relegated to being "assorted-object" Man.

Hopefully they'll make the game shiny and it'll be a nice bit of nostalgia.

Megaman is overrated.

I hope that they have a polished looking version and the original look for all of them. I really disliked what was done to 1-3 for the Genesis "Wiley Wars" collection. Was Megaman 8 the one that wasn't released here until GBA or was it 9? The original version is "Rockman and Forte" and the English GBA one is "Megaman and Bass."

Anyone know how I can preorder this?
