Coldstone 2: The Question/Comment Thread

Figured I'd start this by saying that I really like how Rath's new character sounds. Solid young man, solid.
Yes, except that he looks like, to quote either Logan or Katanga..."freakin' Meat Loaf...."

Also, I wanted to post this picture in the main thread but didn't want to take up space.

The last photo of Elmore "Elmo" Pantuso (far right), wearing his trademark jacket, before his car accident in France.

I filled out that thingy that Kid Ego did and was wondering if I could just post that profile in the cast thread of if I have to stick to the rules and the just post it here...
What is this thing Kid Ego sent? Rath told me about in IM, but I have no idea what he's talking about.
It's a character sketch sheet and breaks the character down quite nicely. I'd like to just use that as my profile, but it's a big larger than the 6 questions.

*waves hand*

HellOOOOOOooo...I'm right here...you can talk to MMMMEEEEeeee...

Jump on chat Poxy, 'Hawk...

Heh...a "bit"?

Mine's already 8 pages.

Kid, find me on AOL tonight after 10:00mst.
Roger that.

As soon as I move over to my laptop and permanent computer, I'll put a link to a blank Character Design sheet and a bio up for Veretta.

Katanga...get yer ass on IM....
Let's keep the character sheets between GM and player for the mean time.

That's why I said Blank.

So hey, uh, when does this thingamajig take place, exactly? I was never able to figure that out.

Present day.

When you see all the pagers and cells and C4 and GPS shit come flying out, you know what time it is...

I also want to state that for a project like this, less is more! Overly descriptive character sheets start as a crutch and later become a hurdle to jump over as the story progresses. Thus the "six questions".

Ego, you going to use an "actor" as well, or the cartoon only? Just curious.

Interesting choice of actors, by the way. Nice to see that Seahawk enjoys the drink! JK.

Hope I don't end up having to kill most of you. See ya in CS!

Only for the GM. A more fleshed out character is easier to play because you know where he's coming from experience-wise. The character sheet I created wasn't necessarily created FOR this game, but for general character development in writing a good story...much like THIS WEBPAGE...

Actually, since I suck horribly at finding pictures of "actors" that have a particular look, I was going to go more with my sketch...if that's alright with you, Master Logan.

Ego's portrait can stand since he drew it. If he wants to add an actor that's cool, too.

I just didn't want established comic characters cast as these guys. Or anime...
Burke...I got chills. I got freakin' scared.

That was amazing.
I think the sheet is good for self-reference, but a little too revealing and detailed for others to see.

I like to let a lot of it develop in-game.

Burke tryin' to be all scary. We'll see just how scary he is. It's all talk until we hit the mean streets. It looks like school's in session for you new guys and I'll be your instructor. Call me Daddy.

(Good stuff guys. Looking forward to this!!)

I understand, and am behind you all the way. Sorry that I came off as hounding you a bit. No harm intended, and glad to have you on board. Looking forward to the whole thing, actually!

Life Under These Beautiful Streets
By Elmore Pantuso
Columnist for the Coldstone Times

"The sirens are screaming and the highways are howling in the city tonight. The quiet that has descened over Coldstone since Roman Carvaggio was sent up on a rap nearly five years ago was shattered earlier tonight when the kind offer of Tony's Tiger propietor Paulie DiVialoso ended in bloodshed.

When I asked for his take on the proceedings, Mr. DiVialoso said...."
"My take is about six grand a night and that's all you're fuckin' gettin' outta me. Now go back to your paper and tell 'em to bring back The Lockhorns."

All right, I pulled the quick sketch I did of Mr. Veretta and put up a more mainstream picture.

Just imagine Steven a little more muscular and quicker on his feet than his most current roles. In a suit...Carlone is a very imposing flesh-ball.

<edited cuz I can't spell>

As I've promised Logan, I'll be chronicling Cap'n Katanga's COLDSTONE 2. I got overwhelmed with part 1 because I started late in the game. Following that same format, I've already started on part 2:

http://www.innergrail.com/coldstone2

My brain is still pretty much fried (pain pills) and I can't think of a decent character. I've temporarily placed Ray Winstone's pic as a placeholder character. I know the deadline is on Friday and I'll make sure to come up with one by then.
This shit is great, as always, voltes astounds...

Is the CS1 page ever gonna see completion, now that it's done and no new overwhelming stuff is coming down the pipe?

Either way, voltes, you rock earth and most of Mars.

I have Yahoo! too but I forget my name and I never use it...

Andrew and Voltes,

In like Flynn (from Tron). Nice job on the characters, fellas.
The "JJ" post in the setting thread is nothing short of 100% nailing the personality of Bernie Mac. That was as good as it gets, fellas. Hope you all are reading this shit!
Katanga, nice job with the Jester dialog there!
Holy Shite (pathetically practicing on my Brit slang here) the "Setting" exposition was amazing, Katanga! Wonderful, just wonderful.

And I must say, the Jester's dialogue was DEAD-ON! "Boys little league team" my ass.....

It's so cool that you made Dino a priest! That's pretty much how I envisioned how he was going to end up. Eerie.
Let me emphasize that the setting thread is the absolute most liberty I'll take with your characters....that said glad you enjoyed and glad I'm not dangling from a street lamp.

Today the magic starts...

So far I find the Viglio section hopelessly pathetic, and nothing like I imagined or described him.

(I kid. Just brining Katanga back down to earth.)
Ok...good chunk of first posts out the door. I haven't brought EVERYBODY in. I'm hoping that the responses will lead to them being introduced organically. Rest assured: Everyone will be in this chapter.

Now post, fuckers.
In case your wondering about the lack of language in my post, I post from a computer where that language may be not good. So expect posts from home to much..erm...fuller of language.
Can someone define "one action post per week?" Also, how much liberty is usually taken with other people's characters regarding dialogue?
