* CHUD RPG Campaigns

I really like the idea of doing these things, but it seems as though our fantasy campaign kinda tapered off. That is okay, I understand that many of the players are busy. Hell, most of them just had a kid. That takes a lot out of a guy (and possibly a gal).

Is there anyone who would want to set up another type of RP? In a different kind of genre maybe? Something that a handful of players could get into without a lot of strings attached?

Just throwing it out there. This forum needs a heartbeat... Figured... aw heck.

I was loving the last one, but I just found that it required too much effort. Does that sound lazy? I mean, I'm on and off the boards all day usually, but posting a pithy response to some movie news and taking part in an RPG were two very different tasks. And now with a baby, my online time in the evening is basically "check e-mail, go to bed".

I'd like to give it another go, but it'd need to be something a lot more "low maintenance" (not that the previous one was "high maintenance" but...ah, I know what I mean).

I'm game for playing or Dm-ing. Forgotten Realms is my preference...I'm also well-versed in the Star Wars RPG system.

Of course...if anyone wants to bust out the Masters of the Universe RPG...I'm Fisto.

I enjoyed it too, but I also found it tedious. It was also a bit uneven as some people post at different times of the day and I wanted to post something, but then had to wait for someone. Eventually, I just went out of control moving the story along where it had no business going.

But I'd still like to do something like this if we can find a way to make it work.

I'd love to participate. However, the new job I begin on Monday will not afford me the regular CHUD time that I have enjoyed in the past. I'm afraid that I will be reduced to evenings only.

Sorry.

Okay, I can run a Paranoia campaign.

You're all executed for not having the proper security clearance to access this website.

There, wasn't that fun?

I'd actually like to participate in a vampire/horror RPG on-line.

I'd love to participate. FYI General, I'm still game for the one you're doing. I'm back at work so my CHUD time is restored.

In that case, someone should DM a game of Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption.... wink

Some of you are talking like we need to use some kind of game system. I'm envisioning interactive storytelling, which is what Logan was doing. Diceless is the way to go. Speaking of that has anyone here played Amber?

Oh I got it, Cap...I've been following you guys adventure. I was just saying I prefer Forgotten Realms as in the pre-created world...ditto Star Wars...I've got all the manuals etc...they already richly textured worlds...though I'd cutum the adventures...modules suck 9/10

Though I'd also love to participate in whatever Logan is cooking up.

My apologies also for not doing my bit. The first couple of weeks of school were brutal. Two students jumping the fence, another doing something terrible...But enough of my shit-ass excuses. I'm in.

I haven't played the Amber game, but I am intrigued by the idea. It is basically "bidding" points or something, isn't it?

As for a new RPG campaign, I am thinking modern-day period, like a mafia-style storyline. Would anyone be up for THAT?
I think i'm ready for another try. The mafia would be a cool setting as sopranos has just started up again and can inspire the story.
Absolutely...mafia sounds way cool.
