Background Information
This RPG Campaign takes place in and around the GALACTIC CIVIL WAR, which has engulfed the galaxy for years now. The Galactic Empire are mercilessly hunting the Rebel Alliance, who are currently licking their wounds after being driven from what they thought was a secret base of operations on the remote ice world of Hoth. Han Solo, a cocky smuggler-turned-freedom fighter who was at the forefront of the Rebellion's efforts against the Empire at Yavin and Hoth, has been frozen in carbonite and taken away by the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett, to be delivered to the crime lord Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. While rescuing Solo is a primary concern, the Alliance must focus on the task at hand: continuing the fight against extinction by the vast forces of the Imperial Navy, and the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. As such, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca are unhappy at being called back to the Rebel frontline, but their experience is needed in fighting, and winning, the war.
At this time, most of the Core Worlds are off-limits to anyone but Imperial personnel, while almost all of the outer-rim systems have an Imperial presence of some kind. Strategically, the Rebellion is looking to bring its entire fleet together, which is at this moment, scattered, so they can plan their next moves against the might of the Empire war machine.
DANTOOINE: Currently, the core section of the Alliance rests on this wasteland of a world. Once a beautiful and lush planet full of fertile forestation, Dantooine now serves as a true remainder of the power of the Empire. The entire planet has been pretty much decimated, and where once great jungles lived now stands only huge and craggy rock formations, while where great oceans once existed, now lies seemingly endless and desolate plains. The Rebels have established their base on the northern continent of the world, where the gigantic rock cliffs serve as good cover for the Alliance. At this time, Commander Luke Skywalker leads the Rebel pilots of Rogue Squadron as they patrol the plains of Dantooine in their X-Wings, Y-Wings and A-Wings, searching for the seemingly inevitable sign of Imperial activity...
TATOOINE: The central hive of scum and villainy in the galaxy. Famous for its exotic population, its corrupt businesses, and its even more corrupt officials, Tatooine is the home of the intergalactic crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Jabba himself 'rules' from his palace out beyond the Dune Sea, but his central web spreads over all of the small towns, notably (and most infamously), the starship port of Mos Eisley. There, the presence of Jabba's thieves, thugs, and bounty hunters is only matched by the famous Skirmish Company, a notorious battalion of Imperial Sandtroopers. Into the city arrives the infamous Boba Fett, ready to deliver his cargo: Han Solo, frozen in Carbonite, to the Hutt...
CORUSCANT: On the world also known as the Imperial Center, Darth Vader is preparing to leave his palace for the forest moon of Endor, where a secret Imperial plan is currently in progress. Unhappy at Vader's failure to capture Luke Skywalker on Bespin, Palpatine requests his apprentice's support in increasing motivation in the Imperial ranks, as the Emperor prepares his operation to crush the Rebel Alliance forever...
THE IMPERIAL FLEET: Away from the Core Worlds, a large part of the Imperial Starfleet patrols space, looking for the Rebel Alliance. Recent reports point to a possible return to Hoth, although Admiral Piett, commander of the fleet and the captain of the gargantuan Imperial Super-class Star Destroyer Executor has ruled this out. Meanwhile, an officer aboard the Executor is secretly plotting the death of Luke Skywalker, despite strict orders from the Emperor himself that the young Jedi be captured alive...
