momo and kid ego: October 17 (Sunday) in Norman, we will be having the public showing of my Stephen King movie. There will be a concert with 3 bands and an open liquor bar, and the concert will be between two of the bands.

You are both invited.
F'n sweet. I might have to make this one SD. Remind me again where it's being held at.
It's going to be held at The Moose Lodge in Norman. The producer on my movie bartends there and we get to use the ballroom for free since they will be making money from the bar.

We're gonna have a private catered dinner before we open the doors to the public for all the rich people (business owners, doctors, lawyers, ect...) and a private showing for them when we present our business plan for our first feature length.

Then at 6:30 we open the doors to the public and start the concerts.

I'll leave directions closer to the date.

The Devil's Backbone - Sunday (Oct. 10) at the Sooner Theater in Norman. 2:00 and 6:00. $5

I will miss it - I'll be in Texas until Sunday night for OU/Texas weekend - but if I was here this would be a huge thing to see on the big screen

We finally got a theater like that here.

The Circle Cinema. It has Twilight Samurai all week of the 16th and they're playing Lawrence of Arabia, Casablanca and a few others periodically this month.

Hope it sticks around...the Westby didn't last 3 months.

Come on Oklahoma your falling down in the ranks.
we still got more responses than any other state.

Any of you Tulsa people know anything about the movie production studio up there. I understand it is the largest there is land wise.

But of course. If it's got beer and good food, I don't see why I should stay out. :-) Nice to see another Tulsan in here. That's, what, four of us now?
ahhh, the muysterious Momo. Sneaking in every few months to let us know you are still alive.

You and Kid have a great holiday !!!
ahhh, memories

Indeed! I washed up on the beaches of South Carolina where the barbeque is sauced with vinager instead of tomato-based stuff. Good but different. Still, I found it best to cleanse my palete, so I hitched a ride on a Burlington Northern headed for Georgia. I has some peacon pie underneath a sweet gum tree and walked all the way back here. Now I'm looking around for David Boron commemorative frisbee and hopefully will get to watch some movies sometime soon.

How's Norman treatin' ya?
things are goin' good here.

i'll be heading to Tulsa again in March for the annual bowling tournament. Maybe we can all meet up for some drinks.
That would be awesome sauce.

Joplin MO here...two hours away from Tulsa.
Hey Momo and Ego.

I'll be in Tulsa for the yearly bowling tourny on April 1-3. We're getting in late on Friday night and leaving early Sunday evening.
Give us a PM before you come down and we'll have to get a few beers. Or we can come watch you and your buddies play some pins.
bump.

gas prices are finally down to $2.25. Lowest in forever. When I went down to OU/Texas they were between $2.65 and $3.15 a gallon depending on where you got it. I guess I can sount us slightly lucky.

Like I did before, here are a few movies showing at the art museum downtown OKC the next month or so:
Oct. 29 (Sat) - 8pm - Night of the Living Dead
Nov. 18 (Fri) - 7:30pm - Casablanca
Nov 19 (Sat) - 5:30, 8:00 and Nov 20 (Sun) - 2:00 - Mirrormask
post #379 of 393
Looks like I'm going to be around Tulsa in September. Any suggestions on where to go or what to visit??
Kid Ego's. He loves unannounced company.
Good idea...but I wouldn't want to catch him in the middle of some deranged love triangle involving a burrito.....
Hmm.... Burrito sex...

Actually Social, we have some very quant little spots with which to do fun things. If you're into drinkin, then Kilkenny's is the place to do that. Magoo's is our prefered place for a bit of the old 8-Ball.
Let us know when you'll be down and for how long. Will Dave be joining you? Or Dakota? We've got a Liger (no shit) at some zoo thing here in Tulsa. I've heard it's huge. The liger, not the zoo...
oklahoma - where it takes a month and a half to get a responce, and another half month to notice one has been given.

we got screwed out of going to Tulsa for the bowling tourny this year and had to have it in southwest OKC instead, which sucks. Instead of a fun town we get hillbilly trashville.

ah well ....

Okay, burrito sex aside...

We'll be passing through around September 19th or 20th. We'll probably only going to be around for the day, since we're taking a very scenic drive to California. No Swykk or Dakota on this trip--a good friend from work is moving to San Fransisco. It's a girls' week out sort of thing.

So a liger, huh? You've peaked my curiousity....
Indeed!! I've heard tell that some daring souls are allowed to feed it chicken pieces with tongs. From the pictures I've seen, the cat stands about 11' tall when on it's hind legs.

And you are most welcome to swing through anytime. I can't promise you I'll stay vegan in front of you if we dine together though... I love the taste of cow-flesh. :-P

And SD, just some Sunday, take a trip over here. We'll hang out and get drunk, watch some flicks on Ego's new 63" Mistubishi DLP (So friggen' sweet!) and mess around on the grill. Good times.
Sounds good to me!

Someday you guys are going to have to make the trek out to Indiana. Swykk and I got a house..and it came with 2 grills. So all of our meat-eating friends can bbq at the house!

Where the hell is Momo?
Hell, Momo ain't posted since last May and Kid Ego has been gone since August 2005. Oklahomans have disappeared almost completely from the boards.
Bueller?
all the Oklahomans have taken their balls and gone home, I guess...

Saw this while digging through the boards.

For the record, I'm from Rush Springs, Oklahoma -- Watermelon Capital of the World (self-proclaimed, I'm sure.)
