This quote kills me from that article...

C'mon people....I know there are more of you out there.

Yeesh.

"Out there" out there or just out there? In either case, I think I'm there. Out that is.
I'm bumping this, hoping some more of you will stop by. I know you're out there...

Time to bump this again...

Ok, Kid. I checked it out. There has go to be more people here from Oklahoma though.

And I hate that I missed out on the entire Oklahoma bashing thread.

There was this time that we took a vacation to Colorado. We went to a Sonic and thought it would be fun to mess with the car hops. We told them we were from Oklahoma and they were pretty impressed. Even more so when we told them we were so happy not to have to fight off the Indians anymore. And we showed absolute amazement at the paved roads and the giant building across the street called a "mall." Wow. They bought it hook line and sinker. We got our picture taken with them so we could show the folks back home what a "sonic" was. They never asked how we got the brand new truck.

funny stuff.

by the way Kid, nice Extreme reference.

Oh well, I live in Norman and I am a student film maker. I am taking a semester off from Oklahoma U to make a independent horror movie.

Who else is in here?
Hey Dog. Kid and myself are in Tulsa. I don't get to Norman that much, but if you're ever out this way, I'll buy you a beer.
Out of curiousity, what's your horror flick going to be about? By the way, I'm a huge Love Button fan. If you've spent any length of time in Norman, surely you've heard of L.B.

Welcome back from the hiatus, Momo. How was the monkey's ass? Did it feel good? Did you use protection? How about the midgets and llamas? Did you make them use protection also? Tell me, how was the feeling of having something that obtuse, that far up there? Uncomfortable?
hey Momo.

I am finishing up a short flick right now of a Stephen King story. Not sure if you ever heard of Dollar Babies, but he sells the rights of various short stories to film students for $1. That will just be a 30 minute short that we are going to hit the festivals with (I Know What You Need)

The feature length we are going to shoot this summer is pretty much a slasher flick in the veign of The Hills Have Eyes but without mutants and with hillbillys. We are getting ready to start a finance drive to see what we can afford.

In the meantime we are just doing a bunch of shorts.

what do you do up in Tulsa land?
I hate Texas. I come over to see if any Oklahomans are talking and see Dallas is talking. Then I see that they are going to see some movies that I have never seem in theaters. This is just not fair.

Wait.

Maybe it's Oklahoma that I hate. Cause we never get anything new, never get any cool midnight classic movies. We don't get anything.

Maybe it's time for a trip to Dallas for a weekend of movies.

We did get a month early sneak of the Star Trek: Nemesis trailer at SB21 Con last year...

as my cousin would say...w00t.

<edit>

At least you're just two hours from Dallas...Tulsa's four.

Dog, I am a lame computer lacky that sits in front of a computer and monitors a whole bunch of routers on our network. It's tedious work that would really suck were it not for the money and the internet.

If I got over to Norman more often I would love to view one of your flicks. I'll be in Dallas for A-Kon come the end of May, first of June. So if your in that vincinity of D-Town that weekend we could grab a beer.

And Kid.... suck my ass, you hog-fucker.

Really? 'cause I heard stories of the streets being paved in gold, money grows on trees and the woman are easier than a first grade spelling bee. No?

Well, the women ARE easier than a first grade spelling bee...it just so happens that this spelling bee has words like "onomatopoeia", "cryptocrystalline", and "holothurian".

<edit cuz I can't spell...heh>

I'm gonna be coming to Tulsa in April for a big bowling tournament. We are wanting to get things reserved there early and I was wondering what the best place to stay at is when we get there.

Also interested in what to do. Sure, we're guys, so we're gonna have to check out the infamous Tulsa version of Night Trips, but other than that, what are some suggestions for nightlife fun?

What's your budget? The Renaissance will be opened by then; it's the newest hotel here, on 71st and Garnett. Otherwise, hotel row is on the strip of I-44 @ Memorial...I only know that the Hampton is a nice hotel, because my cousin's wife manages it.

Nighttrips here is supposed to rival Covergirls in OKC, so quality shouldn't be a problem. Cherry street {15th at Peoria to Utica} and Peoria from 15th to 31st is the place to be for nightlife {This is "Brookside"}.

Check www.urbantulsa.com . It's like OKC's Gazette.
