One of the most compelling and well-done sci-fi dramas I ever seen. A masterpiece. Too bad this flick didn't reach the higher level of success it clearly deserved.

JEFF GOLDBLUM and HENRIKSEN were phenomenal, and overall the production is fantastic.
The last scene will remain in my memory forever. Beautiful movie.

Of course I know it.

The thing that makes this movie an assfest to me is when (and I'm about to reveal the ending here people, so beware!)....

[Spoiler alert!]

....

....

....
.... is when the main character is acting like a chicken and flapping his arms before he gets hits by lighting or whatever the hell it is at then end. It's one of the most ludicrous scenes ever and I laugh histerically every time. I just don't like this movie at all.

The thing that gets me with Knowby is that there is NO middle ground. It's always "The Howling 4 is nothing short of the most beautiful cinematic experience of my life", or "Basket Case 3 is a masterpiece" and then you get commments like "Deep Rising is my most hated movie EVER". Get some perspective my friend.

And Powder is ASS.

I think I flipped by this. The guy makes a hunter feel what its like to be a dying deer. Reallly bad stuff.

And I remember the trailer being shit served on a platter.

I'm sorry to say it, guys, but...

YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SO MUCH ABOUT GREAT CINEMA BECAUSE:

1- You don't feel the "poetry" of certain movies. You can't. American borderline?

2- You don't LIVE the movies you're watching.

3- You ONLY care about A-MOVIES or big-budget movies.

4- "cheese", "corny", "crap"...this is you religion, this is the only thing you KNOW TO SAY!

POWDER is a marvellous movie. Too bad you can't see it !

Did you catch part of that this morning, too? It was on as I was getting ready for work. I remember having a really lengthy discussion in high school about where "Hawaiian Style" fit into the whole SBTB continuity. Sad, yes.

And to keep this somewhat on-topic, there was a guy at UGA when I was in school there that looked a lot like Powder. Odd. Still haven't seen the movie.
