Matrix among other musings...

I was just watching parts of the Matrix again...I went into that movie knowing absolutely ZIP about it. Totally spoiler/plot/character/actor free. It was an amazing feeling having that movie hit me like it did. Being a near-instant classic (flame if you will, it's my opinion), it was surprising as all hell for me to like it so much.

I thought I'd pose a question to everyone here.

What movies have you gone into totally blind? How did you like them? Anything worth mentioning?

BTW: I'm proud of the fact I didn't know anything about the Matrix before I saw it, and am going to try to be spoiler-free for Episode Three...I said TRY dammit!

Donnie Darko.

Only way to see the film.
I haven't heard anything about this movie, so I guess I'm in good shape to see it...that or Requeum for a Dream...I know nothing about that either but keep hearing that it's great.

Although I had read a review of Braveheart, it wasn't something I paid much attention to; I went to the movie with a group of people, and it fucking blew me away. It was my favorite all-time flick for a while.

Other success stories were Traveller (basically knew Paxton was in it) and Black Dog (figured you can't go wrong with an action flick starring the Swayz - and was proven right)

The Matrix, too. I had no expectations at all, and was blown away.

Oh, and I managed to see The Sixth Sense knowing absolutely nothing about it in advance. That one was earth-shattering for me, because the ending was so completely unexpected. Nowadays it seems like every damn movie has to have a twist ending, which diminishes the effect. I wonder if "Signs" will have one?
