Just saw this for the first time on Wednesday night. I rented it from Netflix. What a fantastic movie. Dunaway, Duvall, Holden and Finch are all fantastic! Anyone else out there really dig this flick?

I love that movie. Good performances all around.
It has some of my favorite dialogue ever. The scene where William Holden is packing and arguing with Faye Dunaway is fantastic. I seem to remember him calling her life a 'screaming void'. Such a great scene.
The Beale character is wonderful. To me, he and his rantings embody exactly what's missing from both TV and American culture in general--passion and intelligence. And his message is as disruptive as it was when the film was made. His speeches are just energizing, but the pity is that people like Beale aren't revered in real life.

From Netflix? A had this in my Netflix queue for over a year, and it never became available! I *still* haven't seen it! Aaargh...

Really good stuff; my fave scene is where the network is bargaining with the Black Panther-type group.

First rate satire of television's inherent least-common-denominator mindset - sadly, becomes more relevant each passing day.....

Hands down one of my favorites. I've watched it countless times, and my old VHS copy is starting to deteriorate.

The best scene is when Ned Beatty brings in Peter Finch to explain how the world REALLY works.

"YOU HAVE MEDDLED WITH THE PRIMAL FORCES OF NATURE, MISTER BEALE!"
