Picked it up at Target a few days ago nearly a week before the street date.

Seen it twice so far.

Fuckin' love it.

First Jack Black performance I can stand.

Anyone?

I'm with Django, solid little flick. Nothing I would watch twice in a row or anything but a great movie to take your mind off of shit.

It's no Zero Effect, but the young Kasdan could be in for some big things. Pacing was awkard though.

Hmm. Well, Django and Tony liked it, then, man, I'm gonna rush to Target today. I just hope that my Target have it in advance as well. Oh, who am I kidding, I like everything that Jack Black does. I haven't seen him in the MTV Video Awards yet, but I heard that it blew donkey's dong.

Well, the movie awards did blow, but his skits and stuff made it watchable. He was REALLY good.

I didn't like the ending, but I think it's as original and funny as most comedies shoud be.

I had the misfortune of paying to see this in the theatre - Black steals pretty well every scene he's in, but I found even his presence to be less enjoyable than in other films (High Fidelity or Shallow Hal, or even the lunacy that was Saving Silverman); Hanks and Fisk are OK, but nothing really gave me any empathy for anything the characters were going through.

Overall, a mediocre, inoffensive, trifling little film that did nothing for me - I was merciless on it at first blush, but it's pretty much insubstantial, and there are far better ways to spend 90 minutes.

Yeah, I thought it was only ok. It did have some chuckles, and I liked Black and O'Hara quite a bit. Django, what did you think of "Zero Effect"? That was Kasdan's first movie, which he also wrote. Much better in my opinion.

I liked this flick a lot. Zero Effect was a good flick as well.

Saw this last night thanks to my local Blockbuster. Cute film, nothing spectacular. During the whole thing I kept saying, "Thank God for Jack Black". Some of the jokes fell flat, some worked pretty well. Not a classic of comedy, but, as has been said, it wasn't painful.

On the DVD there are a few deleted scenes and I do wish they'd kept a few of them - especially the one where Jack Black and Harold Ramis share a scene that was quite funny.

I like Jack Black quite a bit, and found him pretty funny in this one. I had fun with the movie. It was entertaining, but as many of you say, not the greatest.

I really enjoyed this movie, it had HEART unlike a lot of other teen movies. A lot of the jokes were funny, except the scene with Chevy Chase as the principal, that was pointless and went nowhere. I must say though, Hanks english teacher was hilarious.

I really liked Zero Effect, even with the presence of Stacey Edwards who I'm not a fan of.

Sorry it took so long to reply, Match...

I liked the movie. First saw it on DVD.

A harmless film. I like the characters even though they quickly change.
