This is going to be a fairly long post.
First off, if they're looking for a mole, they just found it.

Now, no one from their site gave me the information on the "secret blogs", so they can stop doing their witchhunt right now. Supernova had it set up on his site to access them through the "Copyright" word at the bottom of the page, linked to the secret blogs. I found it on my own, and that was quite by accident, actually. Lo and behold, a whole new world opened up to me that day, of 7 or 8 posters who for some reason found it funny to piss on CHUD and other movie sites.
Surprisingly enough, most of the time they didn't talk about CHUD. Most of the time they talked about their own lives, movies they'd seen, various unimportant stuff, not much different than here, actually.
However, the racism of some of their people had me shaking my head. But hey, live and let live.
I wasn't going to say anything about their posts as Hannah and Jadey at first because I thought the posts were pretty damn funny. And then I saw that they were trying to get Bateman into an AIM dialogue, possibly to trap him or something, or play a pretty cruel joke, and I decided the buck stopped there.
Side note: Bateman, you were about to be the butt of a huge joke and I'd be careful in the future.
I'm tired of the movie sites I frequent being bombarded by jerks who think it's their duty to take the people there down a peg. The people here at CHUD and at AICN just want to talk abut cool movies and things, and here at CHUD it's built into a nice community where we should fell free to talk about pretty much anything and have the feeling that they pretty much have your back. I haven't met many chewers personally but I do know a lot of people at AICN and I got pretty tired of watching intelligent people decide to not post because they didn't want to be torn up by these guys who decided to be the arbiters of Internet civility. They want to take us down a peg from our supposed "self-righteousness" when I never felt, or saw, very much self-righteousness to begin with. I just saw a bunch of cool people and I wanted to be a part of it, and I didn't like to see them get attacked.
I'm sure I'll be hit with e-mail viruses and spammed all over the place in the next few days because of this. Oh well, it's what Hotmail is for.
In closing: I love CHUD. I love AICN. And I'm tired of all the petty bullshit that some people want to visit on these two sites. I just want to talk about movies with people who won't rip each other apart at first opportunity. And if they don't like that, well, there's various things of shapes and sizes all over for them to suck on.
