I heard two co-workers talking tonight, and both of them said, "Not that it matters..." at the same time. For some reason, that reminded me of the giant turtle in Neverending Story. I suppose because that was his catch-phrase.

"Not that it matters..."

I think of some goofy shit while I'm at work.
It's probably the burritos.

Just remember the golden rule: Don't take a test or give a presentation with a hangover. You will regret it. However, writing a report while drunk or with no sleep can be exhilarating.

I've written reports on no sleep many a time, and am always amazed when they come back with an A. I'm convienced that I do my best writting barely conscience, on no sleep, and about an hour before the assignment is due. If i try to work ahead of time, it's all lost...bad grade everytime

We had a guy leave early tonight, so there's only two of us right now. It definatly feels like Friday night.
Ah, Monday night. Well...MY Monday night anyway.

This sucks. I only got about 2 hours of sleep today. It's barely 22:45 and I'm already half-asleep...I might have to break my caffeine boycott tonight.
Caffine! You beautiful Mistress of jitters.
I like you more than chicken fritters.
Although nothing is better
That a big wedge of chedder.
I've never had more than five babysitters.

well hell. What do you want from me? At least the sonavabitch rhymed...
I love this old one.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed.
The hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

They both could use a polish or two.
A polish SAUSAGE! HA! I kill me.
those are wonderful odes to caffiene guys!

That is the one substance that I am extremely addicted to. who ever said you can't live on caffiene alone lied! I know from personal experience.

speaking of caffiene, i think my pot of coffee's ready.....
I am currently running at two months relatively caffeine-free. I'm proud of myself.
That's cool. I tried to give it up once, but it didn't happen.

I've been drinking coffee since I was 6 years old. Yep, 6. My grandmother used to give me coffee all the time, with lots of milk and hugar (I couldn't pronounce sugar right, i was that young!) In highschool, I had to take early-morning calculus. That is not a subject I want to tackle at 6 am. Needless to say, the addiction grew. I've recently cut back a lot. Now I only drink like a pot of coffee throughout the day and a couple of pops.

But if i get up and don't have any form of caffiene within the first hour or so, I get shitty ass migrane headaches that I can't do shit about. I hate those with a passion!
DTs suck with any drug. I learned that Advil was my friend for the first couple of days. After that, I was fine. Now barely half a cup of coffee or tea will wire me throughout a day. It's crazy.

I still love me some coffee though. I drink decaf, which, when you buy GOOD decaf coffee (I get mine from www.coffeeam.com) you can't taste the difference at all. And the health benefits are so much better with the decaf.

Social, what the hell kind of school offers calc at 0600? That's just fucking brutal, man.
I had it at 0700...but that was ECU.

yea, it was brutal! It was an early morning class that my guidance counslor put me in because i was in the "honors" track (like anyone wants to take calculus AND physics their senior year). Supposidly we were supposed to be able to leave school an hour early, but since i didn't have a car, it didn't work that way for me. I graduated high school with damn near 60 credits (but lost my honors diploma over physics and calculus). How embarrassing!

I really just think my guidance counslor hated me. That's the only explaination I can come up for putting anyone in a schedule like that!
That sucks, girl. Hopefully you're sleeping in these days.

Speaking of which....zzzzzzz

yea, I've learned my lesson and don't take any classes before 11:30....

but that doesn't help when I work 11-7's.

So what's sleep and who needs it?!?!?!
*looks to his right*

Apparently Taro needs it.

Tell Momotaro to get some sleep for me too!
I know this is completely off subject, but I ate my first burger-like product today. I can honestly say that I've never eaten more than one bite of a hamburger in my entire life.....but ate a Boca burger today for lack of better options. It was strangley liberating.......
You should go to Carl's Jr and get a $6 burger. It only costs like $2, and it's mighty tasty.

Unless you're veggie...

yea, I've been a veggie for almost eight years now (except for the nine months I was pregnant). Every once in a great while i give into temptation and eat chicken....always to horribly regret it. Anymore, meat makes me so sick i feel like death
post #488 of 5946
That is a side effect of not eating meat. You kinda have to ease yourself back into it.
When i was pregnant, I had no problem with it. Or nothing that i couldn't blame on morning sickness....but i ate like everything in front of me. i seriously gained 75 lbs before i delivered.

once i had the baby, i went right back to my old eating habits immediately. crazy shit....
That's why I'll never get pregnant...

...that, and I'm a guy.
it's not fun, trust me! you guys have it easy!

i'm not having kids again until i can forget about the discomfort of pregnancy and the sheer pain of delivery....and i have a pretty damn good memory!!
Aggghhhh....just got home. My head is pounding. Had a fun night of bar hopping- got a girl's number ( ) got water thrown on me by angry people who couldn't deal with the noise, and got my friend laid the day before he goes off to college. Good stuff.

Thank god I don't have work tommorow.
Hey guys. In my experience, Fatburger (we have them on the west coast) makes a petty damn good burger. Even better than most resteraunts, which seem lately to make theirs as greasy and crappy as most fast food joints. Actually, there was one place in Pensacola, FL, that while being technically fast food, made these great steak burgers. Best burger I've ever eaten, even though they were compareatively pretty expensive. Unfortuneately, their quality took a lightning quick drop after their start-up team left. Newly opened resteraunts, fast food or otherwise, typically have the best food since they are staffed with people whose sole job is to keep quality up, so go grab the good food while it lasts.
Yeah...there's a ton of burger places that specialize in that, and do a great job. We have a chain here in Tulsa called Ron's thats just great.

I was talking about the main franchise fast-food places...between BK, McDs, Wendy's, Jack/Box, etc...I think Carl's Jr makes one of the best in their six-dollar burger.

Although I haven't really eaten a lot of fast-food lately.

That $6 dollar burger is might fine eatin'! And for a burger guy like myself, that's saying a lot. Although those Ron's burgers are very nice as well.

I've ate Boca before. I found you have drown it in mustard to get past that 'healthy' taste that is so prevelant throughout each bite. I bought them frozen and just gave them a quick nuke, so I am sure I didn't enjoy them to their fullest potential, but even so they weren't to keen to me.

But hey, if you like them, dig it baby.
Anyone out there tonight? Soc? Billz? Taro? Hawk?
hey there kid. How's it going?

I guess since I've never had a real hamburger, I don't know what I'm missing, so the Boca is good due to lack of comparesion
post #499 of 5946
Apparently, they taste quite a bit different. I'm going to have to try them. I do love me a good burger though.
Right on.

I think the taste of hamburger meat will always remain a mystery to me. It's just too much adventure for one lifetime!
