Anyway, you guys know that this thread isn't going to explode again until I start making more of a presence again! I mean, really....three months away from the boards and I'm STILL the top poster in this thread!! Someone else has got to climb up the Taco God Ranks

BTW...the Taco God shirt is a favorite at work.
We need a spritz of estrogen in here once in a while. Show up more!

I'll do my best. I'm pretty sure I'm not girly enough to make much of a difference, though.

So what has everyone been up to in my absence?
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling. Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria!!

You know, the usual. Glad to see you back Social. Now tell that no-good boyfriend of yours to drag his ass in here too and we'll have a hootnanny.
I'll make the punch.
I've got cookies!

And that's no-good fiance, Taro!
Ooh, Jay! You got SERVED......cookies.
According to an online NPR station, it's the birthday of Harry Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe.

And in today's news, I'm bored. I'll be bored for the next two hours, with a chance of humdrum followed by a bought of yawning. Look forward to stretching, neck-cracking and ruffling of hair. We need a webcam in here so people can see how much crazy fun stuff we do in here.
Last night of curfew. I SO want to head over to the college apartments and hang out (and say goodbye to someone in particular), but I can just see them doing room checks while I'm out and getting fired on the last night. I'm thinking anytime after 2am should be fair game, though. Even the Coordinators probably don't want to be up that late, not even to bust the students (or counselors, for that matter).

Anyway, after that I move out Sunday. I should probably be packing, but whatever.
People were insulting my cookies here at work. How dare they.....

Now back to baking.
Screw those people- your cookies rock. If they aren't convinced- bake them a special batch.....with cyanide.
Topped. :-D

Man, we've been slackin' lately.
Sorry, I was too busy making "special" cookies for some of my co-workers.
I haven't had a homemade cookie in quite a while. Social, you're making me hungry.
Any reason why Chud Chat is not working? Has it been down for awhile or is it just a recent thing?
I can get Chud Chat to work. But, there's usually no one in there.
I gave up on chat a while ago. If anyone wants to talk, I'm on AIM (though not where I'm currently staying. My host has no ethernet hookup for my laptop and has a complete aversion to Instant Messenger, so he won't download it on his computer. We have it on the computer at work, though).

Homemade cookies would be great. I've literally been living off of Ramen noodles for the past week, though my mom just sent me some money so I treated myself to a lunch out with the booth monkeys today. It seems everybody I know in this town has no fucking clue where they're currently living this summer. Everyone is juggling and planning and getting fucked over as far as apartments and couches to sleep on. It's nuts, but kind of funny in a way. Feels sort of like we're all in it together- there's a definite sense of community to the place, at least among the NCSA students.

Anyway, I'm still having fun and making an assload of bank in the booth. I'm only a few test shows away from taking my test to get cleared on my last theatre! Woobang!
You go, girl!

I haven't been to chat much since Boonsaint dropped off the face of the earth. And even then I appeared sporadically. I've been better about being on IM since DuVall and another friend are on alot during the evening hours, but tonight some of our proxy servers are shot to hell and are down, down down.

Ego's had the past five days off, I wonder why he hasn't poked his head in here. I know he's not shy...
I think I've been in chat a total of three times during the span of my chud existance. I have Yahoo messenger on my computer, but I'm really bad about signing on, having to leave, and forgeting to shut down my computer. Ask Duvall.....he's been subjected to it before! I hate it when I do that. Normally, I have about three hundred thousand messages from people I don't know who are trying to get down someone's pants (obviously they are not picky if they're trying for me!).
It's actually not that frustrating, Social. I have had a conversation going with my friend Andre all summer and yet we've only been on Yahoo at the same time maybe twice in the past three months. I love that I don't have to be online to get my messages with Yahoo. I kind of wish AIM had that feature, as I use it more. So even if you're not there, it's not really that annoying. I actually think it's kind of funny when you finally get back to your computer and feel bad and go "SORRYSORRYSORRY!!" Heh heh.
That's awesome!

So I'm here and ready to post-whore for the next 2 and a half hours. Where is everyone tonight? God forbid if I have to watch infomercials for the rest of the night. I don't really care about buying some computer software that makes it easy to buy and sell on e-bay.
Hey Social! How are things up north? Are you and Dakota doing anything fun this summer? Swimming? T-Ball? Ritualistic Genecide?
Ego and myself are getting hammered tonight. We're a guy short and just so happens that we're busy as fuck. A tad stressful. Right now, he's escorting some Mexi-Techs down to our Vender Access room, hopingh won't be long. I've got a caller on hold already. I'm praying they don't back up.
We did our annual zoo trip yesterday and took Dakota by the TV station. It was a cool trip, fun was had all around. We went to the South Bend Chocolate Company, which was the highlight of Dakota's day. He got a "pretzel with chocolate and it was soooo big!!"

Hopefully you guys don't get too swaped. Answer the phone "Thank you for calling Pizza Hut. Will this be carry out or delivery?" That should get rid of them.
I spent last night watching this movie called The Water Babies that was made in England in like the 80's, I think. This kid in mid-19th century England is forced to pretend to be a chimney sweep by James Mason, who rips off the houses they go to clean. In the midst of running away from said situation, the kid falls into a river nearby and suddenly the whole thing becomes animated. He starts having adventures with a Scottish lobster, a gay sea horse and a swordfish dressed as a Musketeer. Weird, WEIRD shit. It was fun to MST3K, though. It also helped that we weren't in our usual state of mind, I'm sure.

I'm going to be in the Wichita area on Aug. 7-8-9 visiting my sister. I haven't seen the Manchurian Candidate or The Village yet, but I'm planning to see both at the superior Warren Theaters down there. Anyone want to join in?
If you come a little bit closer to Chi-town, I would certainly be in for it!
Save your money and skip The Village.
Okay, come closer to Chi-town and pick a better movie! How's that, Duvall?

I've read many bad reviews about the Village.
My ganpappy built that Villiage! Now you've done gone and made me sad.
*Bwaaah!*
Yeah, the zoo was good. I coaxed Jim to make friends with four kangaroos, which were unfenced and out in the wild. More specifically, about 20 feet from us. He tried but one ran off and three of them got into their "Stupid human I will box your ass" poses and he had to get the fuck out of there quickly. I also did my 2nd Annual Impersonate HHH's Water Spit He Does During His Entrance Pose. And so did Dakota...alot. He got more water on him than into the cloud form, but got an A for effort.

South Bend Chocolate Co. was cool, I got 3/4 lb bag of chocolate covered coffee beans, which I'm still working on eating.

Exploring the station where Michele works was kind of neat, except that the shit she was showing us was completely beyond me and Chris (Cropsy here on CHUD), so we spent most of it goofing off. I found a dead mic in someone's bag and began to faux-interview Chris on the impending Zombie invasion. So Jim and Michele had a more intellectual experience than we did, but we made due and it was cool to see where she works and she loves it there. Doing what you like for a living is the goal...

That's a capital V, thank you.
Man, are we picky, Mr. DuVall! Don't worry, I like you all the same
post #5283 of 5954
Oh, good- I was worried there, for a sec. I don't know WHAT I'd do if I couldn't have your cookies. Wait..... that came out wrong.

Schnitz brought over the box set of Hellsing last night so I could give it back to my friend Sarah at work today. I wound up sitting in front of the TV and watching the entire series. It's fucking GOOOD. Just how I like's me anime- dark, bloody, bad ass and unpredicatable. The fact that there are shitloads of zombie-ghouls didn't hurt, either. You seen this one, Taro (or anyone else)?
Scott wants Social's cookies!!! I knew being gay was a choice.
Wow, it looks like the old crew is finally assembling again!
Sounds like we're a bunch of con men getting together for one last job. I say we take the local K-Mart for all it's worth. If we do this right, we could be looking at 500, dare I say 600 dollars- and that's not even COUNTING all the Martha Stewart pillows we can carry.

Damn, your local K-mart must get a lot of business.
That was including wallets and the hot dog vender outside.

DuVall, regarding Hellsing series: Yes, I've got the box set, and have seen all but the last three episodes. I've been on these last three for about a month and a half now because I'm too damn lazy.

Swykk: You rock. I think if I had a brother who was vegetarian AND cool (the two usually don't mix in my book) you'd be that guy. Hell, you might even get me to eat a meat-free meal once in a while...

Billz: I know everybody's name and M.O. on here except yours. Give up some details, man!
I thought you would know by now that my name is Bill. What else do you want to know?
Boxers or briefs?
I prefer boxers....

Hey, Taro, what about me?!?!
So, what's everyone up to tonight?
Drinking a 40'
I am also wearing a fez.
Hey, Social- your title wouldn't happen to be a Postal Service reference would it? (I'm referring to the band and not the actual mail service, btw).
Actually, it's not. I just gave up on many personal issues (mainly stemming from the family). While things are not any better on that front, I'm not depressed about it anymore. CHUD just won't let me go back and change my title.

It seems like I've found myself back on midnights again. I'll be working 9pm to 7am today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. I may have one of these a week, but I'm hoping that this is not the case.

Swykk is sick to his stomach, and has been for the past two days. Seems like he ate way to many chocolate covered coffee beans and is now paying the price. I feel so bad for him, he's absolutely miserable!

But the highlight of my week was this--Dakota started using the potty! I never thought I would get so excited about someone pissing and shitting in the toilet!
Social, I think Dave could eat lettuce and still get an upset stomache. He would absolutely die if he ate like I did. But then again, I'm going to die if I keep eating like I am. (just razzing, Swykk)

And Billz, I just want to know more about you. It seems like I've had in depth converstations with everybody here (well, the ones I care to anyway) and I feel like I know them fairly well, but you are the exception. Do you still work for Payless? Still on nights? Married? Family life? Satanic Goatmaster?

I'm a nosey busybody and I feel like I have to know these things. If you don't want to tell me, fare enough and you can tell me to fuck off. I was just wonderin' cuz I think you're hot and have a totally nice ass... :-D

Had to end it on a creepy note, didn't you?

For Scott: Fruit of the Loom colored briefs. Tighty-whities are for skinny people.

Anyway, no fucking off will be necessary. I can't browse at work much anymore, hence the lack of my presence here. I do miss the weirdness, but I'm also busy as hell at work most of the time these days too. Other details:

>> Still working for Payless, wondering when we're going to get bought out by Walmart. Hopefully not before I get some education behind me so I can move on in the IS&T world.

>> I still work the weekend night shift, 6pm to 6am. I'm getting one weekend off a month this year because I'm worth it.

>> I've been seeing a nice woman for about a year. She's from Minnesota, doon't ya knoo. No plans for marriage. No possibility for kids (COOL). She's been living with me for about a month. What does one do when getting laid is no longer a challenge?

>> I have one sister, 27, and a nephew, 5. Dad and Mom got divorced when I was 10. They are still alive, but all of my grandparents have died. I have 15 aunts and uncles on both sides. Some of them are dead too.

>> I'm a free-thinking democrat and a secular humanist. Both subjects are worth learning more about, trust me.

>> I wouldn't mind if there were more Satanic churches around. Human sacrifices are just urban legends anyway (I'm a blonde-haired, blue-eyed guy, and never once was I kidnapped or mutilated for religious reasons as a child).

Okay, that's a start, I guess. Everyone else needs to do this now. That means you, and you, and you.
