It didn't work for me. In hind site, I wasn't nearly mature enough to even consider marriage back then (I still wonder if I'm mature enough to consider it now). Married life is, well different, and it didn't work for me--at least at that point in time.
I'm not saying that thinking about it is bad, but I would hold onto the ring for awhile. I would say wait until you both finish college. That way you kinda have an idea of what you're up against. Starting a relationship like that is going to bring up many unknowns, and it would be beneficial to have the financial ones down to a minimun.
My little brother (he's 21) is going to get married next year. Both of them have graduated from college and neither have a job yet. It's getting pretty scary for them. Jer's had some good prospects, but still.
