Who says CHUD ain't fun?

You want fun?

Check out the Chewer March Madness threads in the Top Ten forum. Bitter battles of greatness versus greatness.

Check out Coldstone 2 and Ragnarok in the RPG forum. Quality interactive fiction by people playing characters for the sake of a game, not their image.

Check out the Creature Corner Killings. I don't go much myself, but everyone seems to be having a ball in there.

Hell, check out almost any thread that isn't about who's pissing off who or who had who do what to them.

Seriously, if you think this place isn't fun anymore, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Start a thread about your favorite little-known film/TV show/album/sexual position. Participate instead of sitting on the sidelines complaining about how this place sucks nowadays -- maybe it sucks because of all the people doing nothing but complaining about how it sucks.

I've been a bit of stick myself lately, but mostly because work is kicking my ass right now. But I plan on changing that. I'm gonna be posting more, practicing what I'm preaching rather than pointing the finger while doing nothing.

And if this place has truly become something that is such a drain on you...

Slip away and spare us all the drama, okay?

There, that thing isn't on my chest anymore.

You're talking to Nick here, right?

No, all of us.

And everyone should visit the MUSIC forum every single day. Loads of yumminess in there, even if you're not a music fan.

Hardly.

Poxy's trying to help solve some of the problems in these parts.

I hope MANY folks realize there is more good than bad by a mile. I know I realize it.

But Poxy makes a great point. You just have to look harder, and be a little creative.

Good. I was kind of worried about it. I didn't want to mention it to you, because I thought you would take offense to it.

*Phew!*

Looks like I need a refresher course in Getting Sarcasm Across on the Internet.

Music's full of goodness. So is Culture and Free Form.

The Sewer is JUST on the verge of heating back up once we start getting stuff like X2 in 30 days time, and the interviews and articles increase accordingly.

Contrary to popular belief, the Chewers forum has good stuff in it, too. I personally love the "They write books!" thread. Fun for everyone.

There's gold on these boards, and much more to be had as this year sees an onslaught of geek-friendly films.

Only one place on the 'net gives it to you right, folks.

Love it.

Having a hard time with CHUD? The bitterness getting you down? Well that's probably because you're still wearing PANTS!

Don't be an idiot! Lose the pantaloons today!

The Chewer March Madness threads are fun. They are what have kept me interested and checking in each day amidst some of the madness. Plus I MADE THEM and YOU ALL SHOULD VOTE.

Yeah, I'm a shill...

Goody goody. It was my pro-active approach to this whole rut, but then, my rant is there, third post.

Yeah, I even edited some of the more cutting titles, because I was afraid the whole thing would go Turgeson if the first readers were offended.

Indeed.

It's a truly amazing paradox how civil the diehard fans of blood and mayhem can be.

And let's not forget the RPG forum. Incredibly civil. And I know that at least 2 folks in here can attest to the fun had.

RPG is indeed fun.

Also, Classic Films needs some more love.

Ever heard those interviews with the neighbors and friends of serial killers?

"He was always such a nice, quiet boy..."

EVERYONE needs to go check out the "They Wrote Books!!" thread....NOW!!!
Poxy, I've never used the silly rating system before, but I just gave you 5 stars.

Let's start some discussion here. Go to the classic films forum and start a thread about your favorite overlooked film. What are you listening to? Go to the music forum and start a thread about it. Even if it's some old Devo album, you'll find someone who wants to talk about it. Lead by example. There's too much meta going on.

Poxy Sinister, you're my hero....

Yes, the only way CHUD will be as great as it usually is...is by people taking part in discussions.
