Swykk,

You are relatively new here, but in the time you have been here you've proven yourself to be a generally nice guy and I respect that. You tend to be a territorial creature when it comes to posting and it would be fun to see more of you in other forums other than this here Chewers one.

Raoul Duke,

If I ever get the chance to live my life over again, I would lead yours in a heartbeat. You represent everything that I consider good and noble in a person, and it never ceases to amaze me how aware you are of the world around you and your ability to change that world. I always enjoy the posts you make and I would like to think that by trying to be more like you I can make more of a difference to the circumstances around me.

DJ Dylan,

You have always been nice to me, and you have evolved so far from the 'hehe' days it's not even funny. I know you miss being here in Canerda, but it sounds like you are having many fun adventures in university. Your posts are always a treat to read.

Blunt,

Ah, what can I say? You have such sophistication for someone your age I am green with envy thinking about what a powerhouse of cool you'll be as you get older. Your taste in movies is ridiculously well-defined and deep, and along with Tony Ryan, Raoul, Flyers & Laugharn you make me very hopeful that younger people aren't all total morons. You too have also been very kind to me during my on-again, off-again love affair with CHUD.

Dances With Chainsaws,

For some reason when you first came here I thought you were an ass. I can't even remember why! It's obvious that you aren't one though. Your posts have a dry humour to them that I find refreshing in this age of Bunny Dracula and the NEVER ENDING ATTEMPT TO BE FUNNY AND FAILING DISMALLY. I don't hang out at the Corner very often, but your posts when I do take the time to go there always make me laugh.

Agent 86,

You're another poster who has been here a very long time. You've been very level-headed since being here, probably more so that the others in your crop of posters. I haven't read millions of your posts, but the ones I have read were very well put together.

Voltes,

I feel horrible guilty for confiding the things I have confided to you. I was feeling so down and so shitty during such a confusing time for me Will and you were so good to me. Then you kind of disappeared and I thought for sure it was because of me or because of the way people were treating you in general.

I am going to rant ever so slightly here and I may not make sense, but bear with me.

I think that people had the habit of treating you like a guy from an issue of 'Non-threatening Boys' and never fully took you seriously as a person and especially never took your feelings about them seriously. I noticed many posters flirting with you or very obviously PM-ing you, and it was almost as if they were thinking "Hey there's this gay guy who is so nice and so charming and hey I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be romantically invloved with a guy so hey I'll just bug Will because he won't mind, will he?" And that was so not fair to you. It was like you were being treated like a circus sideshow, and when people decided the novelty had worn off you were left holding the proverbial bag as it were.

Then you left and I thought for sure you had done so out of depression or sadness. A state of mind I hope I didn't contribute to but am afraid maybe I did.

You are the best. If you lived closer I would be inviting you over all the time to hang out and alieviate the feelings of loneliness I know you suffer from now and again. I'd love to call you sometime too, so maybe PM me or something now that you are back.
Mike, thank you for the kind words. You are a credit to these boards. And I mirror what you say about Voltes. Will's a great guy and I was so worried when he left, I was genuinely sad about it. Glad to have him back.

Sean Bateman,

There hae been times, especially when you first got here, when I thought you were super anoying. But I am starting to learn more about you and seeing patterns in the things you do, and I am slowly, begrudgingly coming to like you.

What most people don't see is that you have managed to keep the enthusiasm you had as a youngster for all things you enjoy through to your adult years. It literally colours everything that you do and every post you make. So much so that you have become a spoiler addict, which isn't a bad thing. Sometimes the stuff you read ends up being wrong, but the fact that you are constantly go out there to find out info about the projects you love is cool.

I think people confuse arrogance with boundless enthusiasm when they think about you. I know I did at first, but I am growing out of that. It certainly helped to see some of the shit you are working on during an AIM session a few days ago. I also know that you are playing it smart by not blabbing to the world about the projects you are invoved with. I hope you stay.

Verbal,

I can remember when you first came here and how you used to get so freaking angry at people who disagreed with you. The fights between you and Tony Ryan were entertaining, but I always knew you would graduate out of that shit. ANd of course you did. You are one of the more germane posters here now, and your posts are always a decent read these days.

As far as your other thread about chasing after the taken girl, do this:

Ask her "What the fuck? Is it me or is it him?". If she hesitates or tries to make up some shit about "Ohh I'm so confused, blah, blah, blah..." forget about her. The only correct response to your question is "I am breaking up with my boyfriend right now to be with you Mike." Everything else is just head games you don't need man.

When you first came here I was convinced you were Carl Cunningliguist. Obviously you are not, and I have quite enjoyed reading your posts and chatting with you in happy fun chat land. Don't know very much about you on a personal level, nor have I made an effort to, but that's not your bad.

Thanks for the kind words, Mike.

I've been really sick for the better part of the year, and I've been in and out of the hospital.

But I'm getting better now and I hope to be able to devote more of my free time to the boards once again.

Seahawk,

I've been on IM with you a few times and you have always been really nice to me. I always get the impression though that there is a sadness inside you that you don't share with people but that colours everything you do and every post you make. I often have wondered about why that is or what is causing that. Haven't seen you around much here either lately.
You should be a message board profiler...seriously.

After I got over the annoying movie-schtik of your user name...
I like the name, but I'll be honest: If I was making up one today, I'd be Alan Smithee.
Sammy, you know that you can change your user name right? Just put something like "formerly know as Sammy Jankis" in your signature and we'll figure out who you are.
I'm Sammy Jankis in several places, and I don't want to re-register. I've changed my name here several times, but I find it easiest to keep Jankis in there if possible. It avoids confusion. I don't want people to start confusing me for Bateman or Slater

It's not really a big deal to me, to be honest.
I just think Alan Smithee would make a cool username.

Tease.

I really have a lot of affection for you Michelle, and I am not really sure why it was that I was able to make a bond with you when I did or as easily as I did. But it persists. Which says a great deal about you to me because it means that you aren't fake, if that makes any sense? I get instanly cold with people who are fake. And I find myself thinking about you often, wondering how you're doing, trying to imagine what your day is like. I do that with a lot of people here.
Thank you, honey. I feel the same way. I also will never forget the nice thing that you did for me in a time of need. *mwuah*

SOCIAL,

I don't know you all that well, but you seem very nice. I respect the struggles you are going through right now with single-parenthood, and I was especially impressed to see that you don't talk about it every second post. Stoicism is da sexy! It's sad that you only have a few forums you regularly post in though. Spread the love! We won't bite. We may rend and tear, but not merely bite. That would be uncivilized.

Admiral Eucalyptus,

Despite you and I being in this place for so long I feel like I barely know you. I think I may have rankled your fur a few times (that shit with Hubris letting his kid watch Jerry Springer's Too Hot For TV), but you make me curious. That, and you are pretty freaky looking in real life. Which is always a criteria for those who I would get to know, given my own freaky demeanor. Maybe we should talk more?
We should definitely talk more. FTR my fur is easily rankled but also easily smoothed.

ALICE,

You are the perfect woman. Literally, I have yet to see anyone come close to your glorious perfection. You are smart and funny, which would be enough to have me classify you as perfect on their own, but blend that with the fact that you are caring and compassionate and this makes you into some kind of CHUD demi-goddess.

EVERY SINGLE POST you've made here has been either thought-provoking, funny and/or filled to the brim with respect and love. I am not sure how you manage to be so awesomes...perhaps there is a special course or something that they only offer in the UK?

Don't ever leave CHUD. Never ever.

CHARLES (FETT):

You are like the brother I never had. And yes, like a typical brother I never write or call, but still. I always wonder about how you are doing and I was very scared for you after reading about your break-in. Having gone through the same thing myself, the only advice I can give is to realize that by being afraid you have let your assailant gain control over you. I couldn't stand that, so I got alternately mad and motivated after my apartment got broken into and managed to conquer those feelings. It's fucking hard, I know, but you have to do it.

In my case, it was just some drunken guy who wanted to pick a fight who ended up kicking down my door and barging into my place. I was by myself like you were. I fought him, but he ended up having that "I'm so drunk I can't feel anything" superpower and I was feeling pretty freaking helpless. My neighboor called the police during the shouting match I got into with the guy when he was just trying to get into my place and luckily they showed up before things got any worse. But still, it completely fucks with your sense of security. Hang in there! I will be in the Isles soon.

The Dude Abides,

When you first came here you reminded me instantly of another "in character" poster who used to pretend he was a cat. That guy was a wee bit strange. And anoying. But I can also remember thinking "Naw, I won't shit on him just yet. Let's see what he does..."

I am happy to say that you are not anoying. In fact, some of your posts have been nice to read. It has also been nice to see you outside of the Chewers forum.
