I started a new thread, my apologies Star Chamber, as I realized my post in the middle of the last thread would most likely get lost.

Assassin, CHUD style
I'm going to take names on this thread of people who would like to play Assassin. I will wait until Monday, 3/24/2003 to start the game.

Rules:

Once I wave the flag in this thread on 3/24/03 to begin the game, you hunt down the other players on the BBS. If you post a message like "GOTCHA", or "YOUR DEAD" or something massively more creative ... WITHIN TWO MINUTES OF THEIR POST IN THAT THREAD, then they are eliminated from the round.

If you do make a kill, please make sure to PM me with the thread in which it took place in case I do not see it.

I'm not sure how much was lost, but I think this pretty much brings us up to date. I know the 6 that were taken out yesterday, but we've lost all the links and the PMs. At any rate, I've updated showing who was proven to have been taken out before the crash.

Two questions.

Is posting in this thread immune from getting a fraggin?

Is your kill post also immune or can you kill someone right after they've taken someone else?

Sorry, there were 6 kills before the crash and I had noted each one of them. While the proof may have disappeared, that just may show Diva is a much savvier assassin than you had given her credit for. All of the evidence against her 'disappeared' during the crash... what you thought it was an accident?

Did you read the instructions? PM A-Pathetic the kills.

It makes the game more fun if people don't know who is doing the killing. I got a target on my back because everyone posted in here that I killed them. Ghosts don't talk people.

Anyway, I die knowing that I took a lot of you down before it was my time.

Most folks don't even know about the game and usually the people who got killed didn't notice until much later because they were posting in another thread.

I'm not mad, just would like the game to be more suspenseful.

Speaking of which, it seems the people who are gonna win will do so because they've been MIA from the boards (not counting the down time yesterday). I saw Xian, Samarai and 86 popped up a few times and Jherek was on this morning. But other than that, people haven't been logged in as far as I could tell.

I think that suspense is valid, as some of the threads wouldn't be frequented by everybody and as I wasn't posting links people would really have to look to find them sometimes.
Although a thread to talk trash is always nice.

Diva, I have actually been on the boards searching for people to kill. I'm not trying to aviod posting either, the only reason I'm not posting is because I can't find a topic I want to reply to. Before I die or if I happen to not get killed I hope to get at least one damn kill.

I hope don't get killed for posting this.

I still like the idea of a "safe haven" in the assassin thread.

No need for someone to be killed multiple times until someone notices.

Considering 3 people got the business end of the pump shotty in this very thread I think it'd be a good idea to make this the safe house.

A-Pathetic is on top of things. If you PM him immediately after the kill, he updats the list in the first post almost immediately. If people keep checking in here, they wouldn't try and kill someone who is already dead.

And only two people got killed in this thread: Imperator, who was silly enough to post in here in the first place, and Samurai, who got so caught up in responding to my post, he didn't learn from Imperator's mistake.

The game worked fine for the past two days until folks started posting in here. Just my 2 cents.
