Actually, its a bad character from a fantasy novel by David Eddings.

Where'd you get your username?

Coolest 3rd tier character in movie history.

In Zimbabwe the film is called "Captain Katanga and the Raiders of the Lost Ark"

Andre Dellamorte is something from Cemetery Man. The main character's name is Francesco Dellamorte and says he doesn't like his name, Andre Dellamorte sounds nicer.

Gna.

Mine's easy... Duh. I've been thinking of changing it, but I feel that I have a good reputation around here, and I don't want to cause confusion.

That's funny. Up until this moment, I had assumed that Prala was your real name. Like Tasha or Velma or something...

A prala is cute as a goddamn button.

Hehe, that's what I was thinking when I read the title to this thread. That adorable smile!

As for me, the Gracie Lou part comes from Gracie Lou Freebush that name stuck in my head after a girlfriend made me watch, don't laugh... "Miss Congeniality". It sounded so, well...naughty.

I added the Sister in honor of Sister Mary Locquacious (I was Gracie Locquacious for a while). She is a funny character in the novel Good Omens.

Childhood nickname plus a love and passion for pajamas.

There you go.

I do answer to kitty, Michelle, hey you, bitch...

Jake Lamotta from 'Raging Bull,' a film I was obsessed with when I joined this site many years ago. It has nothing to do with my personality, I hope, and I would change it to my real name, or at least capitalize the first letter, or something ... but alas, I just don't care enough!

It's what Ash calls his shotgun in "Army of Darkness". If you haven't seen it, it's a must.

I've always been fascinated with World War II, thus the name.

I'm not German nor a Nazi, I just find Erwin Rommel a particularly fascinating person. And he was one hell of a soldier.

This is the only site that I use this name, as the rest of them I use Poulsonator (Rommel is too popular of a name anymore).

Amen; he was hardly some Nazi toady either - he gained respect from the allies who went against him both for his battlefield prowess AND gentlemanly conduct (made sure his prisoners were treated well, etc). One of the great modern generals, and from what I've read, ranks up there with the greats through history.

My nick, I have a dark complexion + had long hair (accent on the had), so some college friends coined me "Chavez" after Lou Diamond Phillips in Young Guns. Hated it at first, but I eventually accepted it and am quite fond of it now.

My grandfather was fighting in N. Africa and was actually captured by Rommel just before Rommel had to leave. Rommel made sure they were all treated well while in his presence. Of course, as soon as they (the P.O.W.'s) got out of his hands and were put on the train to Berlin, the story was different.

Anyway, Chavez, you are exactly right. A brilliant tactician and compassionate man, Rommel in no way believed in what the Nazi's were doing closer to home (if he even knew). He got a raw deal at the end, but went out like a true soldier.

Sorry for the rant, but now you all know where my fascination w/ WWII comes from...my grandfather. Who turned 81 on 3/3, by the way.

*Edited because I fat fingered the preview/send buttons*

Hm, I know Myers seems to look like "hey, I´m a fucking fanboy nerd and about 13 years old, lovin all this cool horrorclassics and Mike´s the ruler of them all thinking all the time who might win in a fight between Jason from Friday the 13th part 4 and 7" but actually I already read alot in here until here had this moment in which I thought "now I´ll write myself in here" and I didn´t find the right name, so my view got over my DVD board and the first one was, well Halloween. So I took Myers. Later on I knew "oh damn, this wasnt a good idea" but to that moment some chewers already knew me as "Myers" so I try to alternate it with funny additions.
And so on wink

Rylander is a word that I initially thought I had made up. While playing scrabble, based on the letters I had drawn. My friend and I assigned it's first definition as referring to "singular acts of strength" because around that same time I was helping him move. So when either of us would be carrying a large piece of furniture solo, the other would cry out "Rylander!"

Later I started using it as a character name in videogames. And when I joined the Chud Sewer, I mainly was looking for something unique to me, rather than being named after a movie character until the end of time.

Then later after searching around I discovered that Rylander is an actual name that people have, and it's also the name of a newsletter about musician Ry Cooder. His first name is Ryland, apparently. So I didn't exactly make it up after all.

The totally badass monster first appearing in the New West sourcebook for the RIFTS roleplaying game.

I have the original art for this awesome monster framed and hanging above me at this moment.

I arrived via creature corner, I tought it was a horror site so .... my nickname is from the omen trologie.
It's the name of my production company.

basically we just though the name sounded cool and stuck with it. Kind of a mixture of "starving artists" and "dogs" (as in male chauvinistic "dogs"). Our logo is of one dog (my partner) howling at the moon and a second dog (me) staring at a girl with his tounge hanging to the ground.
Where to start...

Basically I'm tattooed white trash draped in piercings. That doesn't go so well when your in the social services field. Anyways, its something I heard in college and I've kept it ever since.

This is interesting. Rylander, I always assumed your real name was Ryan, and it was a pun on your name and Highlander (or maybe Outlander).
I took my name from an obscure french sci-fi/samurai/comedy film from the early seventies.
I'd throw up the photo...but I try to limit shitting on Star Chamber to once an hour or so.

"Django" was the handle I was destined to take up since birth. You see the film, you meet me, and you understand...

My mother was raped by a man in priest garbs. She gave birth to me 25 years ago. After hearing the story the name kind of stuck.

I've been angry about the subject ever since and this name helps me deal with the pain.

Well, it's my name. Kinda like "prala".

Aghora Means:

Aghora is the apotheosis of Tantra whose supreme deity is Shamshan Tara, mother Goddess. The meaning of Tantra as seen in the west is only in its vulgar form and is equated with sex. Sex is important to Tantra which means it is the sexual union of universal dualities.

Well It's also a kick ass band.

And Prala is cute as a galldarn button

I have a thing for trickster "gods"...and Loki was too popular a name back in the early days of the net, when we used smoke signals, or tin cans & string.
Coyote was usually available, so it stuck.
Chris Moore kinda solidified it

I am in love with Sadako from Ringu.. I want her to be my dead lover in the after world. So I took her name in an homage to her..
Poxy Von Sinister was a fictional supervillain bent on world domination I made up at the spur of the moment during a conversation a few years ago, and I posted as him on the message board for a friend's comedy troupe right around the time I joined CHUD, so the name came with me.
Mine's pretty boring. I love Warner Bros. cartoons, and I'm a big fan of Marvin the Martian. One day I wore a t-shirt of him to work, and this girl started calling me "Martianman", and it just stuck.

Otherwise, it would probably be "Vince" or "Vince Neil Experience", as my nickname in college was based on the lead singer of the Crue.

My name. Call was just not cutting it anymore.

Am currently on a Wu-Tang kick for my occasional CHUDCHAT session.

I dont really remember what the fuck it was, but it was some form of Star Wars nerddom right around the time of Phantom Menace. I think it was for a roleplaying game or a piece of fan fic. Anyway, "Rath"=Wrath (clever, huh?) and Bandu=kinda like Mace Windu. Hence, RathBandu.

If you don't know who Sheldon Turnipseed is, you aren't cool.

Daniel of the White Head was a legendary saxon feudal warrior, who lived atop a hill so high that it was believed to be permanently covered in snow. According to the myths of the time, he routed a Viking landing party of more than 300 men from the moors of Lancashire, single-handed, in the Middle Ages. He was also a renowned sexual athlete, siring more than one thousands sons, and had a wonderful singing voice. He also invented the concept of windows.

By sheer coincidence, it's also my real name.
