What chewers HAVE you met?

In addition to the what chewers would you like to meet, let's take a walk down memory lane to the ones we've met...

Johnny Butane, Girlcreeture and HAM - Chicago. Got to witness love bloom between chewers. Besides, me getting it on with HAM in a heart-shaped hot tub, Johnny and Creech started looking at each other with googly eyes..

The Atlanta Crew - Atlanta. Met Steve and Nick for the first time back in CHUD infancy. Ate mexican food. Severed some limbs as gifts to each other. Continued to meet more chewers thru those guys over the years.

Devin, Diva, Innocent X - NYC. Held the first CHUD Bar Meeting along with my heterosexual life-partner Adam McAllister with these crazy cats up in the big apple. Butane and Creech came down from their love-nest in Boston to get a piece of the action.

Dave Davis - Atlanta and my dreams. Bitches leave.

Chenzzo - Atlanta. Old school chewer whom I miss. We got together to see a flick when he was in town visiting grandparents. Unfortunately it was 'Screwed' with Norm MacDonald that subsequently screwed us.

Also got to hang out with the guys from Coming Attractions back in LA with Johnny Butane. Good times and many alcoholic beverages were consumed.

Any more antidotes?

I've met 86... once, back long before time began in a totally different plane of existence. I arrived here, moving among those who have not come to exist, and I saw him. Our eyes connected and I knew then at that moment that this man was my mortal enemy and that someday the two of us would meet again on the field of battle where I shall strike him down with an unearthly gigantic blade of hot red fire. Until that day, he lives down the street from me and we play video games together sometimes and chat about movies... but I always watch him carefully.

I met Lowshot in L.A., but he forgot all about it.
gossamer13 (of course!)
Nick
Steve
Micah
misfit_w
Kevin Matchstick
cesar
God Of Thunder (formerly darottens)
Lowshot
BillJohnson
Fright Flick Guy
Alain (I see him just about every day, actually. I work with him)
Carl Cunningham
David Manning
Andrew Molinaro

I think that's it.

Only 2 of the other four known chewers out here in Dallas...

General Logan/Rev Facepunch & Tony BagODonuts...we hooked up and saw CQ at the local arthouse cinema, had some beers and then caught a meal afterwards...both very cool and brimming with CHUDocity. Will definitely do something again...maybe we can wrangle Shelby and Blackcrowe from their respective lairs.

Innocent X and Devin at the AMMI, John Carpenter Q&A screening for GHOSTS OF MARS. Alas, it was the only time I got to hang out with these boys, which is a shame.

Smilin' Jack Ruby and yt over lunch and Tim-Tams, followed by my first ever trip to Creature Features where I somehow resisted the urge to buy a bank-breaking amount of soundtracks.

Moriarty, the first meeting being at a screening of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, where the evil professor convinced me that Donald Duck is indeed an epithet-spouting racist.

Looking forward to expanding this list....

Alas, this has been my only CHUD meeting. But boy was it fun. I recall Lowshot passed out in my house covered in hot sauce. I'm not joking!

I am also looking forward to expanding my list...soon!

Edited because I'm a moron. I hung out with creetch another time at the now defunct Siberia Bar. I remember creetch's drink of choice was lots of tequila shots. eek! I'm upset because she was in town last week and I was unable to get together with her due to work. One day, we will meet again.

Siberia got reinvented in a new spot but taint as cool. Still really dirty, great j-box, but not the same.

Oh good Lord that was an interesting nights. I remember a good bit of beer, a lot of darts, some sort of a 'nerf' fight back at dev and diva's and a pissed off LowShot smacking his lips trying to figure out why they now burn...

When is Round 2 on?

I didn't forget, you forgot, you bastard. I mentioned it in the other thread...

But I didn't put in this thread, so I apologize.

*Ahem* I met Smilin' Jack in LA and it was fuckin' badass. The man has more movie knowledge in his pinky than most of us combined...

You happy now?

Adam and Diva- I totally forgot about the tabasco sauce incident! That was priceless. Just wait Diva, I'll be up there too and I'll have my revenge...

Diva said, ". I remember creetch's drink of choice was lots of tequila shots"

DAMN! What a woman!
Bump. I almost met Jennifer at the airport on her way to England last week, but our schedules just couldn't work. One of these days, my list of Chewers I've met will expand.
Yea, I figure one of these days I will break down and meet someone, anyone from here! I just have to.

One of my goals is to make a trip to Atlanta. It may be 5 years from now, but I will do it
post #16 of 82
Oops.

Well, I hang out with Kid Ego alot, so he would be the first, and during A-Kon I got to meet Coyote, Mz D'Kay, Dark Hedgehog, General Logan/Dave Brosius, and Kittyinjammies. Shelby was supposed to make it then but I think she chickened out. All of them really nice people.
And this weekend is this big Star Trek Expo thing so General Zod was going to meet up with us but his jeep has failed him so he had to cancel on us. And if I ever get around to the capitol of our state I could meet Starving Dog.
Alex (Raoul Duke) is one of my best friends, and I see him as much as I can. Ive also met Justin (captain supermarket) Sooner or later im gonna be able to come to Atlanta and meet you atlanta people.
Let's see, apart from 86 which I've mentioned above, I've met the great, the all powerful DJ Evil. I'm hoping to meet the Atlanta crew on my way up to North Carolina (I'm going to time my trip so that I can swing by a coffee meeting or something) and when I get to North Carolina, I hope to meet another CHUD DJ.
Lemme know when you're coming man, I'm up for meeting the great Cheese Biscuits.,
post #21 of 82
I've got to be in Winston-Salem on the 12th of September (seems late, I know... we have a trimester system).
Most of the Atlanta chewers including Nick, Micah, Alain, Will (a.k.a. misfit), Dennis, Jennifer, Gray, etc. I also met Daniel (Lowshot) before he moved to NYC.

I met DJ Evil last fall when he came to Atlanta from Alabama. That same weekend, I also met Blofeld (who flew in from Colorado) and billylove (who drove down from Greenville, SC).

I have since visited Brian (billylove) on multiple to hang out and have met several of the SC crew, including Justin Bishop, Travis and Chris (a.k.a. Joe Sixpack).

I think that's everybody. If I have forgotten that I met you, I'm sorry and you only remind me.

Cuz' it's really hard to type "oh no that darn pic again".

You know, that really sucked dude.

You obviously must like it if you still have the pic posted in YOUR reply.

That actually sounds like an interesting time...having met the Smilin' one meself.

I think I've spoken on the phone with as many Chewers as I've met in person(although Shelby never called), and continue to keep in touch with those I have met, as much as possible.
Blofeld, Zazu, LadyKoel.

Hopefully more sometime soon.

Think whatever you want. Point is, the picture's overused. I was nice enough to ask for a moratorium on it. Back off.
I have met DJEvil and Cheese Biscuits.

...

They are both jackasses.
Stop calling me a jackass, ass-jack. I know where you live and I have a duck and lots, and lots of duct tape. We don't want a repeat of that incident again, now do we?
Mmmmmm...duck...
I've met zero. And it's likely to stay that way until I move out of College Station and to somewhere more populated with chewers, like Dallas or Austin.
Dallas has a pretty big bunch of chewers and I feel like an absolute ass for being a member of this board for 3 years and never meeting any of the fine people that are in my area. I have to change that one day
post #35 of 82
Katanga
Logan and his lovely girlfriend
Tony Bag 'o Donuts and his lovely wife
Coyote
Hastur and her boytoy
Mz D'Kay
Momotaro
Dark Hedgehog

I'd love to meet more, so anytime any of you are in town, let me know!
I love Google archives. I forgot about the NYC Chewer gathering that ended up with Devin, Adam and myself pouring hotsauce on lowshot after he passed out in front of us. Hilarious.

Since then, I vaguely remember meeting Nick, Carl, Matchstick, and Chavez (I'm totally forgetting a few others) at the San Diego Comic Con (in 2004?). And I ran into Alex Riviello last month in Brooklyn.

I need to meet more of you all! Let's make this NYC gathering happen!
I know you're going to be against it but I hope more of you fuckers come to my screenings this summer in Astoria. Going to be playing some movies at a bar like the last two years. First screening should be on the first of June, although I don't have details set just yet.
And unfortunately, I've met that bald bastard who is trying to shame me into hauling my ass to Astoria from Jersey.
Keep us informed about the screenings.
I attended one of those early coffee meetings with the Atlanta crew way back when. I know Nick and Micah were there, and a very attractive young woman whose name escapes me, and a couple other folks. I gave Nick some Dreamcast controllers and software, iirc. Got a house in the 'burbs not long after, and don't get into the city as often as I'd like these days.
fail
I have never had anything other than a great time at a Chewer get-together, and I'll keep a close eye on Alex's screening schedule. If I'm in NYC when one is happening, I'll be there!

haha No, that's not what I meant! Sorry. I'm having some issues with my computer/ internet connection/ internet explorer and put that there in reference to my own failure to post correctly the first time. Everything I typed up in attempting to edit that just got lost again, so I give up and I'll just post it here.

I've met:
Nick
Steve
Dave Davis
Devin
Martianman
gossamer13
Micah
misfit_w
Kevin Matchstick
cesar
Lowshot
Alain
Carl Cunningham
Blunt
Straxboy
Alice in Wonderland
And I think I met Jacob Singer. I don't think I was the "attractive young woman" in question, though. Saturday mornings have always been a bit rough on me. ;p

There are a few others whose screennames I can not remember. Atlanta people, mostly. Sorry guys! Are any of these people still around, anyway? I feel old.

Hey, I've met both of you bastards! And that bastard from Orlando who was here for Comic Con.

(And JCR39, who doesn't count as a bastard, nor does she count as "meeting a Chewer for the first time" since we already knew each other by the time we were both posting here.)
I have met zero of you fine people, sadly. This'll have to be remedied at some point.
My list begins and ends with the ATL crew (Nick, Micah, Steve, Justin, Russ, Goldberg, etc. etc.) but it was one of the best times ever.

Oh and I also met the Littlest Nunz - Sofia. Cutest little thing ever.
I met BluntMatt in Montpielier, France. We took in a showing of Bowling For Columbine. I also briefly met Anne who no longer seems to post.
