So tomorrow morning I have an interview for a seasonal supervisor position at Universal. Basically, during the busy seasons they pick three or four leads to move up to supervisor for the season. It's sort of a trial run, not an official promotion, but it's the next step on the way up. And I got asked to interview personally by one of our managers, so I think I have a good shot.

The good news is a little more pay, more challenge, and a little more responsibility. The bad news is that it's a salaried position that could have me there as much as 50 to 60 hours a week with no overtime. But it's a good move, so here's hoping.

Hell, any part-time employee gets into the park for free. But if I'm a supervisor, I'll get business cards that I can sign and give people front-of-the-line access.

Nah, number of comp passes is based on years of service and employment classification (full-time, part-time, etc)

Now, if we were still owned by Seagrams, I'd be able to expense Seagram alcohol purchases up to a certain amount each year. *sigh*

I was a rides lead myself at a park. It's fun to have employees as young as 14 working under you. heh, let the power tripping begin!

Well, the interview went well -- assed kicked, names taken. You know an interview is going your way when they tell you your answer to one question leads right into the very next question they were going to ask.

Anyway, the new supes start Sunday, so I could know something as early as tomorrow.

Thanks! Can't wait to tell Devin I'm now Head Carnie....

And this also means I'll probably be working a good 50 to 60 hours a week with no OT.
